Saves a lot of time and frustration... you'll love it.
When you have to get a bolt out from a really tight space, and you absolutely do not want to round off the flats... this is the tool. I don't use it often, but when you need it you need it. I bought to remover a rusty, stuck bolt from the back of turbocharger on a 2003 Ford 6.0 diesel. This bolt was right against the firewall, and you couldn't see it. If I rounded off the flats or broke the head off, it would nearly impossible to fix in such a tight space. This little impact wrench allowed me to get it off the first time without a problem. I was so relieved. Since then I've used it a dozen times or so and was glad I had it. It's a well built tool and with lots of torque for such a small size. I like the trigger being on the hose... it gives you more room to access tight spaces. If I lost it, I'd buy another immediately... when you need it, you need it. Price is great for such a good tool

Wish I had bought this 3/8" Imapct Wrench years ago!
Love this little tool. It delivers the power into tight spaces. If I can get my fist in there this tool will fit. It has been a game changer for working in so many of these tight spaces. We decided to buy the 3/8" unit vs the 1/2" one by the same company due to it having the same basic power but could easily fit the smaller sockets that will fit into the smaller spaces. One person gave a bad review due to the unit not being perfect right out of the box but then went on to say the unit worked well after a minor fix. Well, mine worked perfectly, straight out of the box and has worked perfectly every time I've needed to use it. The more jobs I do the more I seem to use this impact driver. It feels good in the hand. The air line is quality. The trigger is quality. The main unit itself is beautifully made. The different power settings really help when you want to go easy or crank up the power, depending on what you are working on. It seemed a bit expensive when I decided to buy it but I had seen the videos on this unit and I wanted to try it myself. I had jobs I couldn't do because I couldn't get enough power into the tiny spaces so the jobs went unfinished, until now. I just have to wonder if they will ever make a micro or mini version of this that is 1/4" size. I have some jobs that could use less power but still need to get into ultra small spaces with the drive that impact drivers give. This bad boy is worth every penny!

Decent tool, some room for improvement
There is room for improvement. The torque numbers are nice but it takes a second of hammering to get there. And ergonomics are not that great, thatโs understandable as this is supposed to keep maximum room for hard to reach spots, so the switch is left as far as possible, but this ends up forcing me to use two hands for the same tool which makes other jobs a lot harder for example some jobs that require me to use a wrench to hold a spinning bolt. Also another annoying thing is that the switch has no locking mechanism or โsafetyโ like air grinders or die grinder have, so the tool will often go off on its own if it gets bumped which makes me jump 5 feet in the air when it goes off out of nowhere.

Amazing impact tool!
This tool made the impossible job of removing the rear turbo bolt on a 2003 F350 6.0L engine EASY. Extremely happy with the size and power of this tool. Brilliant idea to remove the handle so this can fit in very tight spaces with nearly 500 ft/lbs of torque for removing stubborn bolts. I used a 17mm extraction socket with this tool to remove a 10mm bolt. The larger extraction socket fit over the bolt flange and spacer making the removal easy. One of the pics shows the turbo pedestal...it's the back mounting hole that the bolt was removed from.

Air ratchet
Bought this for my son for his birthday he absolutely loves it says it's great but you better hang on to it in a small spot because it's got power it'll smack your hand into the body frame or an engine part if you're not hanging on to it because it's so strong

Good stuff
Works great! Would have liked for the trigger to be on the head itself because you need both your hands to use it, so you can't hold anything in your hands while impacting. For example, if you're impacting the last bolt of a car part, you can't hold the car part in your one of your hand to prevent it to fall while impacting. Still a great tool. Can't go wrong with Astro Pneumatic.

Secret weapon!
Solid Astro tools quality, what a weapon to have in your toolbox. So many uses. Just make sure you don't actually use the tool in the palm of your hand. That's a recipe for getting your hand pinched because it's going to take that bolt out that you thought was going to be hard, real fast!

issues on first use
bought the 1831 cause i loved the nano sockets so much but when using it for the first time it would somewhat start then die on me (i used air oil before using). the trigger was actually the issue on the air line it wasnt contacting the little button so i put a piece of sticky plastic inbetween to make it contact better and it works great now i did a set of brakes with it and the power and overall tool is amazing but i cant reccomend the tool when it didnt work right directly out of the box.
