Sun Zapper Innovative Glare Shield

Very easy to fit - it simply clips over the sun visor of the car. It has helped enormously when we have been driving towards a low, bright sun. It isn't quite like wearing sunglasses as the quality is not so good (yellowish tinge) but it does cut down the intensity of the glare and the small slide which can be moved along as the sun moves around also helps cut further glare out. My husband and I have both used it and it is definitely helpful, making driving in sunshine, and especially when sunshine glare bounces off wet roads, much safer and more comfortable - no more holding one hand up in front of the eyes.

Makes an annoying "creaky" sound when you lower it into position. However, works very well as a sun shield, and much safer than using the conventional sun shield as you get a good view of the road ahead.

After years of frightening oncoming motorists because I was driving towards them with one hand over my eyes, I decided to do something about it. I saw the Sun Zapper advertised and it seemed like a great solution to my problem - me being a little on the short side, and getting ever shorter by the year! This shield is wonderful - simple to fit; doesn't budge even when slapped down when the sun deems to come out suddenly, and solves the problem of glare. I also find that it is great when I simply fold it halfway down and it filters the sun out without my having to peer through the actual yellow plastic bit. Great purchase and it arrived in double quick time - just in time for one of our rare sunny days.

I decided to spend a bit more and get this sun shield as the reviews for the cheaper ones weren't that great -so far it seems to be worth the money.Certainly very easy to attach and to use - no falling down unexpectantly either which I have heard some other ones do.Haven't been driving in the low sun that much since getting it, but the few times I have it has made quite a difference - particularly like the sliding bit that blocks the sun out even more. However, if the sun is very bright, you will still need a pair of sunglasses as well as this visor. But with glasses and visor you can pretty much see where you're going which is always a good thing.It is a well made product, not flimsy at all and seems worth the pennies.

More expensive than many available, but it is solidly built and importantly, the clips don't intefere with the vanity mirror on the inside of the sun visor. Have since found that this visor is heavier than most and the weight has damaged the hinge on the car's sun visor. So, its been taken off - !

My new car has a low seat position and I am not that tall - 5' 6" - so the sun visor is not effective when the sun is low in the sky. I took heart from the many enthusiastic reviews and ordered this expensive 'Glare Shield'. It was easy to fit and use and looked promising. It does reduce the glare from a bright sky, but as to reducing glare when the sun is in your eyes - forget it! The claim that it "provides instant relief from blinding sun" is completely spurious. I finally achieved the required density to stop the glare by removing the useless "patented Sliding Sun Terminator" and putting 3 layers of black self cling 'fade in' on the transparent surface of the shield. I have given it a star because it is sturdy and easy to use, despite being useless in its original state.

Needed a sheild that would protect your eyes when driving in the low sun in the winter have tried other makes but they were not very good this one is a far better product much stonger and with the patented dark slider you can move this along to where the sun is the strongest. Have used recently and works fine no complaints a very good product better designed than others and at a good price would recommend .

Bought as a gift for mum to use in the car. Sometimes we get the sun in Scotland & the normal visor in the car isn't enough. This clips onto an existing visor & gives you extra shade. Its a more expensive one that I had intended getting, however, I have to say that its worth every penny. Its sturdy & clips on securely.Lets hope that we get lots more sunshine & continue using this fab shield.
