Philips BM6B/00 Izzy Wireless Portable Bluetooth Speaker Multiroom (Outdoor Splash-Proof, Rechargeable, Izzylink) - Black

I've been looking for an alternative to a Sonos wireless hifi that was more in my price range for a while, and when I eventually found this one I was over the moon. It was exactly what I pictured going in my room for now and would be able to take with me to uni. I saw other similar speakers but they only connected via AirPlay or Spotify, and I wanted something that anyone with any phone could connect to and play music. The sound quality is gorgeous, I love the minimalist design, and overall I am very impressed by this speaker. Would recommend to anyone.

Connection and use could not be easier, sound reproduction is first class and the volume achievable without distortion more than satisfactory. I've not purchased a second or third unit as the volume and clarity is such that this one is perfectly capable of filling the ground floor with music, so I'm unable to comment on the benefits of linking several units. That said, everything about the one unit is so good that I'd not hesitate to buy a second or third, with every faith that performance would be equally splendid.

I so wanted this to be good and on the face of it, it is the perfect bluetooth speaker packed with features. The sound was good with clear mid tones and reasonable bass and with a good volume. The issues came with the bluetooth functionality. Claimed to work around the home on occasions this struggled to keep a connection to a laptop that was only two metres away. The result was that the sound kept switching between laptop and speaker. Having a CD player was useful but was not enough to justify keeping this speaker as the primary function was just not up to it. I decided to return it for a refund.

Yes I am very pleased with this product, it takes one button to turn it on , it picks up your Bluetooth in about ten seconds, then press the play button . Then hey presto it's playing your music from your phone . It's good quality sound what you can adjust on the speaker. The only thing that's missing is the skipping songs, there's no way of doing it through the speakers. But you just use your phone to change it, so that's the only criticism.

I got this for my birthday and it's excellent. Really easy to use, sounds great, doesn't take up much space and I can use it anywhere. Haven't tried to add speakers yet so can't comment on that but overall, really pleased with this.

This is way better than the BM5.Having tried the BM7, I would never recommend the BM5 model to anyone.The BM7 has better volume, better base, better connectivity (nfc, multiple bluetooth connections, analogue audio in broadcast to the entire group).The whole group technology is the same and still a bit buggy, but overall happy with the product.If you haven't already invested in some of these speakers and are looking for your first multi-room speakers I would recommend you have a look at Chromecast Audio too as a cheap solution.

The star rating isn't right as I do like it when it works! The problem is it keeps unpairing and/or dropping out. I have 5 speakers 2 from Maplins and 3 from Amazon about 6-9 months old. Whenever I change what I am playing through them I have problems. I use an android tablet, my phone or a bluetooth adapted ipod classic. I quite often have to re pair them but I've just had to turn the power to all of them off and re start them and re pair them individually as they were refusing to pair at all!. Very frustrating. Does anyone have similar experiences or solutions?

Three star due to it takes time to join Bluetooth. Sound is good.
