Fun dinosaur dig
Fun activity for kids to 'dig' dinosaurs out of the egg. Both fun and educational at the same time. This would make a good gift.

Great but makes a huge mess
It’s fun to destroy but not to clean up. By doing what the instructions say and duping it in water, you are instantly creating a humongous mess that you will then have to tidy up. On the other hand, there are many dinosaurs inside and multiple of the tools so if one breaks, you have a spare.

Fantastic family fun time :) Dig and find all 12 dinos with the tools :)
This Dino dig toy is great fun. All the family can get involved and dig for the 12 hidden dinosaurs inside this egg. The egg is made of a plaster type material, and we found that it helps if you add a little water to the egg before digging each time. The dinosaurs are made of plastic and there are little cards to look at with the dinosaur facts on. There are 6 digging tools, dinosaur stickers and a magnifying glass included. We soaked the egg in water for 10 minutes and then put the egg in a big bowl, (can get messy LOL ), and set to work finding the hidden dinos :) Fantastic fun and a long lasting activity, that keeps the children engaged. Brilliant!!! :)

An experience to be enjoyed
This was thoroughly enjoyed. The children had such a great time with this and were so excited to spot a piece each time. This took a good hour for the dig and identifying and discussing the dinosaurs. We would give each one a little wash and brush after we found them to get all the clay off. The children enjoyed using the magnifying glass to spot them. We then have them to play with after; they are very small plastic dinosaurs though – you are paying more for the experience. We did this outside, on a tray, which I am pleased about as did get a bit messy. The powder cleans up very easily though so not a problem if you are doing it indoors.

noisey and messy but the kids loved it
this is a great for for kids big and small i think, loads of fun chipping and digging the dinos out, comes with all then tools you need to get them out.this was about 2 or 3 hours of digging, down side its noise hammering and very messy with dust and bit every where but its fine as it dry and easy to vac up.

Lots of digging but quality of excavated items could be better
This dinosaur egg was surprisingly much larger than expected, which immediately bode well for the contents. It is similar to a typical excavation toy, containing 12 small dinosaurs, which require a bit more digging than usual. The kit contains a magnifying glass, wooden chisels, an information card for each dinosaur and brush. It does create a bit of mess so worth protecting the working area.I am always slightly disappointed in the quality of toys inside these kind of excavation kits, and this egg was no exception. To be honest, I would rather pay more and have a better quality item left at the end. That said, the fun is mainly with the extraction of the toys, and my 6 year-old son had lots of fun with this, which overall is better than similar items. Thanks for reading my. I hope you found it helpful.

A brilliant afternoon activity
Wow my son has loved this, it was absolutely huge compared to many of the other styles of these. It has 12 dinosaurs in there and it does take a good amount of time for kids to dig through it all. A lot of fun!

One egg in box
You get one egg in this, it’s quite big though so it will take a while to get through to toy.It can be quite messy so I’d recommend doing it outside if you can, or put it inside a shallow box that you can wash out after. I thought it would just wash away in water but it takes a while to dissolve so anything left after finding the toy is worth just putting in the bin. You can’t use the egg again I don’t think. The toy is good fun in terms of them taking parts away to get to the toy and ours lasted a while, you can wet it to get to the toy faster.
