Yes. The key answer, as I discovered the hard way, was provided by Derek 5/21/20: First, in the app, add the device (wirelessly connected to main Deco router). Second, move the non-main device to the location where you want it, and physically connect it to the network. Modem -> Main Deco -> Switch (unless you are only adding one more device) -> additional Decos.

What is the difference between X20 and W3600?

The Deco X20 and W3600 are virtually the same in terms of hardware specifications and features per Deco unit. That being said, the Deco X20 is sold in both 3-Packs and 2-Packs here on Amazon, whereas the Deco W3600 is a 2-Pack and sold at another retailer.

Will this work with a modem/router combo from my ISP?

Yes, you can connect the primary Deco unit to your modem/router combo via Ethernet and use the Deco app to quickly and conveniently set up your Deco Mesh network.

Are the satellite units able to be Ethernet hardwired for their signal from the hub unit instead of connecting wirelessly, in case it's too far away?

yes....I put on in my office over 300 feet away from the main source and plunged in a lan cord to my desktop PC. and got 100mps.....BAM....
