Great Sounds -- A Few Quirks
I purchased this speaker to attach with the suction cup mount to the bow of my kayak.Out of the box, I was incredibly impressed with the depth of sound produced by such a small speaker. However, the second day I used the ECOROX a loud buzzing sound was produced by most songs with any amount of bass. This was very disappointing, but what happened next was even worse. The total sound volume diminished tremendously-- with my iPhone and the ECOROX volumes maxed, the sound was still extremely quiet. After messing with the speaker for a while, I finally opened the back gasket that covers the usb ports. Immediately the speaker jumped back up to full volume and nearly deafened me! My assumption is that the air trapped inside the waterproof speaker had expanded during the day and diminished the speaker's functionality. Opening and resealing the gasket to release air pressure has often helped the rattle problem as well. This is an ok solution most of the time (albeit a hassle), but this solution can be troublesome-- when the gasket is open the unit is not waterproof.Overall I was horribly disappointed in this unit until I figured out how to resolve the quirks. In my opinion, a unit of this price should not have these quirks. That being said, I am content with this unit at the moment. I will have to wait and see how it will hold up over the long haul. So 4 stars for now-- without those quirks would've gotten a 5 star. Over many more uses I will have to see if the hassles of dealing with the quirks diminish the star rating further.

Works well, "Burb" it to fix sound distortion with elevation change
I took this to a hunting cabin where radio reception is poor, so we were able to place music from our phones. The elevation is about 1500 ft higher than my home. Everyone was very impressed with the sound quality from such a compact device(similar in size to a beer can) It was easy to pair if the previous user shut off their bluetooth. Battery life easily exceeded the battery of the phone streaming music. However, after about an hour, it sounded as though the speaker was blown. Even at very low volume, it sounded horrible. We had not been playing it very load, so it didn't seem possible to be blown. I was getting very upset and briefly made the sound go away by holding down on the top mesh grill, but that was not a long term solution. I pulled the rear rubber seal loose, heard the speaker "burp" and then it sounded fine again. It turn out the speaker is fairly airtight and watertight, so between the 1500 ft elevation change and warming up during use, the air in the cavity expanded and was forcing the speaker diaphragm out against the grill. Just loosening the waterproof plug allowed the pressure to equalize and the speaker to sound normal again. So, if yours doesn't sound good, don't despair, just burb it!Edit: March 2017I had rated this 4 stars, but upped it to five stars as the speaker worked flawlessly for many years. This has been my go-to Bluetooth speaker, something I can throw in my backpack or hiking bag, or clip on a loop. I even use it in my winter beater rather than adding a Bluetooth headunit. NOTE: in 2013, when I bought it, I paid $120 and I am still happy.Edit: June, 2017Finally had a problem with the speaker after loaning it to my tech challenged neighbor. He left it plugged in for weeks and it was distorted, plus would not hold a charge when I got it back from him. I hunted around on Grace Digital's website, and found they offer a flat rate repair service. It seems like in this "throw-away" society that few things are repairable and the waste just builds as we replace items. I sent the speaker in and they were able to repair it with a new battery. Highly recommend.

Durable, rugged.
The first one I bought had a loud rattling sound during certain songs. Sent it back and now everything's just fine. You truly get what you pay for in the bluetoothe speaker category, and this unit is no exception. Very nice room filling sound for a small unit. Durable, I think and allegedly waterproof (haven't tested that one yet) and most importantly, completely wireless. Battery life is above average. You won't be diss appointed in this bad boy. One star off for the troubles with the first unit.

Smaller than I expected...
... and the sound quality isn't going to blow the doors off anything, but they do sound clear. I purchased this speaker to use in the cockpit of a 28' sailboat when out on the lake with friends. It won't have to be very loud to provide the backup music I was looking for. It comes with a USB charging cable and a clip. I wouldn't trust the clip to hold up under very much abuse, or when the boat heels from side to side as we come about, so I bought the handlebar mount for it at the same time. I should be able to attach it securely to the cockpit pulpit somewhere at the stern and out of the way. Easily paired to my Nokia smartphone and it started playing my music instantly. That part couldn't be easier. Also paired my daughter's iphone to it. Looks like anyone that joins us on the boat can pair to it if they want to share their music. Should be perfect. It's range seems adequate. We should be able to leave the phones in the cabin while underway.

Good but with flaws.
Sound quality is awesome, it even has great bass for the size. The battery lasts forever it seems. I've had the speaker for a around 6 months now about. Now for the bad.The problem I have now is trying to fix the usb port. It seems that there really isnt much support holding the usb port where it's at. Mine has push back into the unit, so it's now unusable unless i make a large hole and bend it back into place, hopefully not breaking it.

I loved the one I bought ( before this one) I got this as a gift. We put it in water with us while we were in the hot tub. I through it in showing off. To bad for me. The next morning it was water logged...? not sure why? We returned it and have not used it in water since. I use mine in the shower all the time and LOVE it... Although I'm not throwing it in water.

Takes a lickin and keeps on tickin
I bought this a few months ago. In that time, it's been in the pool, buried in sand, kicked down some stairs, and generally taken a little bit of a butt kicking. It's held up beautifully and the sound quality is great. Everyone is always surprised when they hear such big, clear sound coming from such a small speaker. Great travel companion, great purchase.

Great little speaker - plenty of power/volume for the purpose
Great little speaker - plenty of power/volume for the purpose. It's taken some knocks and still no rattles. I haven't submerged it yet, so I can't comment on the wateproof claim.

Beautiful - Perhaps a Little Underrated
Satisfaction is not a word that can conceivably contain the experience of using this product on a daily basis. It delivers a thoroughly decent and sonorously sublime audio experience while showering and/or swimming. Judged by a criteria of needing a device that can play audio under the dampest of conditions, the only complaint with it can be cutting when range inconsistencies occur (like when someone is moving with a mobile phone or tablet while you're showering). Although I'm sometimes disconcerted by the ability of the device to hold a charge for the advertised 10 hours, it certainly comes very close - though I haven't tested this.
