Has this case ever accidentally opened in anyone's purse?

I really doubt that it will open without you pressing that button. I has never opened while being stored in my purse.

Is the case metal or plastic?

The exterior of the case is made of a lightweight metal. However, the case has a plastic insert that separates the pills.

Do the pills stay divided while it's closed? I've had other pill boxes with dividers and they always fall into the other compartments.

I bought this for a friend. Her pills are on the larger side and they do stay seperated.
