Gobe NDX 62 mm Variable Neutral Density Filter ND2-400 ND Filter (1Peak)

The main reason I chose GOBE was their environmental ethics. With 5 trees planted for every item purchased, they are well worth the cost, and do not disappoint in quality. As a semi professional photographer robustness and optical quality are key, the metal construction and the high quality glass give you confidence that you can get the shot when you need to. With an incredibly satisfying buttery smooth rotation there is no risk of the filter moving once set to the required ND setting. The scale printed on the rim of the filter is also a very useful feature.The image below is the first shot I took using the GOBE NDX, it was taken on an overcast but bright day rotated to almost MAX to allow for a 20 second exposure of some rocks in the sea, this is the kind of effect you can expect.TIP: if you have multiple lenses, buy the filter to fit the largest lens, then use step up rings on your smaller lenses.

I'm using a Tamron 18-200 and this is unusable.The 50mm one works perfectly for my prime lens 50mm Nikon f1.8 but with Tamron it's unusable.I tried pulling half the stops and zooming a bit but all I get are X signs or heavy vignetting.If I reduce the stops it becomes almost unperceivable but still present, rendering this useless.

I’m very happy with the performance and image quality of this ND filter. I use mine for video work and it makes outdoor exposure as easy as a twist of the filter ring. I haven’t tested it for photography, but certainly I’ve not noticed any image quality issues on the video footage.

Great ND filter. A little fiddly when changing intensity of the filter but great value and pictures. Loved doing long exposures using it. One thing I did not like was that the lens cap of my XF55-200 does not fit on this so I keep having to remove the ND filter which is a pain

This is my fourth Gobe lens Filter and just like the others, the quality is absolutely excellent.Packaging is very clean & modern, the lens Filter also comes supplied inside a thick plastic case which is perfect for carrying around on the field.Keep up the great work Gobe!

I have no idea if this is better or worse than individual filters, but it us a whole heap easier and does exactly what I want it to do. I'm a big believer in keeping things simple and my bag small, so perfect.It's also very well made and 5 trees got planted. How cool is that?!

Beautiful filter. I have been a fond of long exposures of waterfalls lately and this has allowed me to take some epic shots especially on sunny days. I am considering in buying a 10 stop filter sometime soon from Gobe, as they are affordable for a student like me and the product build quality is top notch.

Easy to use have read about an x appearing as you use filters but as yet I've seen no issues at all - use for video and great philosophy regarding planting trees keep up the great work
