Look as if they will work
Seems to be a sound design concept with good manufacture. Yet to use them in anger. Major issue is strength of spring, only a live test will tell.Design provides some protection to weak, fluted area of drill bit.

Can't grumble with the price
These are fine, a bit rough in the finish and I don't expect them to last too long. But they are ok and I would recommend them.

Won't last long
Ok for me, just had a dozen doors to hang, spring broke on first door and centre piece fell out so although still usable, it's a but a bit of a pain. Hopefully will last long enough to complete the doors, would not buy again.

Not bad. Decent enough quality.
The media could not be loaded. The video goes into a bit more detail, including an overview of what you get and the quality. However, in a nutshell:Things I liked:+ Solid enough and functional.+ Good to have a few different sizes even though they are in a very similar range - 2.4mm, 2.8mm and 3.6mmThings I didn't like:- Springs were a little stiff.Do I recommend it?Yes, they seem like they're decent quality. Perhaps a bit expensive at a tenner for the three if you only need one.

These drills are great for drilling accurate mounting holes for hinges.
The media could not be loaded. 🛠️ The drill bits come in three imperial sizes: 3/32, 7/42, and 9/64 inches. They are intended to self-centre when drilling holes for door furniture or cabinetry. Each is intended to fit screw sizes 6, 8, and 10 as detailed on the packaging. The bits are covered in a light machine oil as an anti-corrosion measure. They have a standard ¼ inch hex shank and fit with a vast variety of accessories and drill drivers. The steel is a high-carbon steel and should be durable.🛠️ The drills work best when there is a countersink for the barrel of the drill to engage in, but the barrel is tapered in case the hole is big enough for the barrel to fit into. The spring is quite strong, as you may be able to tell from the video, so you need extra pressure on the drill to overcome it. A good piece of design is that the hex key part is bonded to the ¼ inch shank and so stays put. There is some good design here, as the body of the mechanism can be unscrewed for maintenance, such as removing wood dust from the drilling process. I have some other bits similar to this one, but the barrel cannot be removed, making them inferior to this kit.🛠️ I took out one of the drill bits by loosening the hex grub screw with the supplied key, and each drill has a flat machined into the shank at the bottom. The intent is that the drill bits can be replaced, but this style of bit is not readily available. If necessary, a flat can be ground into an ordinary drill bit. The relatively shallow drilling depth does not leave much room for sharpening the drill bit for years of life, but it depends on how many hinges you install. This drill set might not totally eliminate the need to use a pencil and centre punch, but it comes very close. There is nothing much I found to dislike, so they are easy to recommend. ✔️
