PLANK OR STRIP BENDER FOR WOOD STRIPS MODEL SHIP BUILDING

There were no detailed instructions with this product, and it is only through "fiddling & experimenting" I believe I discovered how to use it. I am bending 1.5 mm x 5 mm Lime Wood Strip; this was steamed for 20 minutes in an ordinary kitchen vegetable steamer, and then bent in the Planking Machine. It was actually very good and depending upon which wheel the plank is bent between, it offers quite a bit of versatility; the bend in the plank is very even. I am still learning how to use it, but I am confident it will produced the desired results.

My husband was not sure how to use it at first but soon got the hang of it. Some of the strips of soaked wood snapped.

I first gave this Item one star, that was because it did not arrive on time. I have now received the plank bender and I am very pleased with it. I am building a model boat and needed to bend a 3mm thick piece of pine wood. Trying the method suggested in the instructions supplied with the model didn't work. Using the plank bender worked fine.
