Thought this would a perfect gift for nephew... turns out someone else thought the same thing. Had to return but it looked really cool!!!

It was great...... for a little while
For the first month it worked amazing, now the "lava" or "wax" doesn't do anything but climb up the side of the lamp. I thought at first it was the light bulb so I bought a new one, but that didn't help.

My son loves it!
My son who is five loves this lava lamp and the speed is faster than others which was a plus for us. It is a bit smaller than a traditional lava lamp but we knew this when we purchased it.

Missing piece
It's missing the top piece which isn't a huge deal but it just looks incomplete without it. As a Christmas gift, I am disappointed in it.
