Ice Cream Scoop - Size 16 Green Cap

Bought this for my wife to use as she has rsi in the hands. It is an absolutely great piece of kit, this extra that you will pay is insignificant compared to the quality of both the scoop construction and performance. The size we purchased is ideal as they are not to big for the young grandchildren and the older ones get 2 and I have as many as I fancy, that is a privilege of being old! I see this as a single lifetime purchase in a domestic use situation so if you buy one when you are young will work out 50 p a year how good is that! I hope it works out at £1 a year for me!

Excellent solid ice cream scoop. Does a great job even on hard ice cream. Just don’t put it in the dishwasher otherwise it goes a strange colour and the inside liquid will stop working correctly!

Perfect ice-cream balls

In hindsight I was foolishly drawn in by the concept of it warming in your hand and making scooping easier. When ice cream is hard it's just as difficult to use this as any other. Having paid a high price I was expecting something extra. I've found myself using my old scoop because it works better, which says everything really. This is for ice cream stands that have their ice cream kept at softish consistency. A domestic freezer doesn't do that, so brute force is always required. This scoop doesn't provide the leverage that others can, so it's not worth the high price tag.

Loved the scoop, fortunately I used these scoops years ago so I was quite easy for me, anyone using it for the first time may have to practice for a while and eat more ice cream. I also like the idea that there is a big choice in sizes.

I have tried several scoops, ballers and paddles before but couldn't get a great, easy result out of them reliably - all needed warm water really. Honestly this one is a transformation. It goes through hard ice cream with ease and then it releases the scoop just fine. Check the sizings as there is a huge range but we bought this one and I would say it was 'standard' to 'large' in size compared to others. Great scoop - you will not buy another one if you have this.

Best ice scoop you can get. If you are looking for the best quality, this is what you should get. The secret is the heat-conducting fluid in the handle that transfers the heat of your hand to the bowl of the scoop for easier scooping and releasing. So I use this one for ice cream that is a bit harder. For softer ice cream I use a Stöckel scoop. You can find a lot of cheap copies, they all have issues, and at the end they become unusable. The Zeroll one can last a lifetime, if you take good care of it. Only downside, it's not dishwasher proof.
