Good Coffee from the bean
An excellent machine. Initial set up was complicated due to an instruction book which is less than intuitively clear. However once you have worked it out the machine is easy to use.

Make sure it’s not a grey import!
Great machine... but ours is a grey import from outside the UK so Krups won’t support the warranty.Gloria stores so far have not replied to our requests for a refund/return or questions about support.Let’s hope it does not break down.

Great coffee but noisy and unreliable
This made great coffee while it lasted. Easy to use and the steam wand works well. Cleaning and descaling can be a very regular chore. The waste bin built into the left hand side has to be emptied once it flags up as full. Unfortunately, it sometimes does this when it is completely empty. It is very loud, louder than most competitors that I have seen. We couldn't really use if anyone in the house was asleep. This alone is a big issue. The biggest problem I had was reliability. Initially, it produced great espresso. Sadly, over time, this became unpredictable, sometimes producing good coffee, sometimes wasting beans and producing brown water. The "drip" tray fills up rapidly and needs emptying often., at least once a day we found (after 4 coffees).Just after a year was up, it started producing only brown water everytime and leaking all over the kitchen side. Amazon replaced it (sold by Amazon) under the 2 year warranty. However, the replacement failed after a week, putting nothing in the cup and the entire contents pumped internally, then all over the kitchen sides. A third replacement arrived "battered" and was returned also. It's expensive for a machine that lasts such a short amount of time, but when it works, the espresso is 7/10. I can't recommend based upon the reliability issues.I am now looking to try a better built bean to cup coffee machine to ensure I have something that will produce a great drink and last longer, though at a higher price, such as a Jura or the Sage Origin, which I hope will give better service.

Buy ear plugs!
Pros: Nice tasting coffee. Looks great.Cons: Uses twice as many beans than stove top espresso. Makes so much noise to crank out 1 mug full of coffee its unusable in the morning (when you want coffee). If you live in a shared flat or above people, just don't bother. Its like starting a chainsaw in the morning. I have gone back to stive top espresso. Takes about the same time, is quiet, uses less beans and costs £50, not £330.

German Quality Made in France
My second Krups machine and to be honest the coffee is amazing, obviously the beans have to be good but you won’t be disappointed with this machine. The steam function is impressive

Worked fine for just two months
Works fine for two months, now the grinder doesn't want to grind enough coffee so whatever comes out is incredibly weak and horrible. Have emailed Krups customer services, will update with details of how that process goes.Edit - Krups customer service were useless, they kept asking me for the serial number and then doing nothing with it. Amazon however have been brilliant and have shipped me a replacement

Easy to use, great coffee!!
Got me into drinking coffee daily, does not compare. With any coffee you can buy in coffee shop, even the expensive ones. Does consume rather large quantities of coffee, but well worth it!!!
