Perfect for showing after shoulder surgery
Helpful after shoulder surgery! The material is soft and not itchy and it's breathable. I bought this item to use for showering and it has been perfect. Adjustable straps help support the arm and shoulder and you can still wash the arm with it on. The water flows through nicely and the velcro does not slip when it is wet it holds very tight and supports you well I definitely recommend if you've had a recent shoulder surgery

Not your everyday sling, but a must-have for shower time
The Emergency Room sent me home with a sling after I broke my shoulder, with stern warnings to keep the shoulder still. That sling was loose -- at least one size too big -- and there was no way to get in and out of it myself. So I looked for alternatives.I ended up with a somewhat expensive sling for everyday use. I needed something that would hold everything as still as possible, and protect me from bumps. (For the first two weeks after my injury, going over a speed bump on neighborhood streets made me screech.)But this inexpensive mesh sling immediately became part of my survival kit.First, it's meant to go into the shower. Air and water can get through the holes, especially if you have a handheld shower head so you can spray under your sweaty armpit. It dries quickly, too. Also, it is far more adjustable than the other slings I used, and you don't need a caregiver to put it on. It's just one strap, and that strap opens up quite a ways. You can slide the strap all the way open, carefully put your arm into the mesh pocket, then duck your head through the strap. Best of all, you can slide it up and down without help. (And I got SO tired of having to ask for help.)This would not be my full-time sling, however. The mesh works great in the shower, but the fabric is a bit too scratchy to wear against the skin all day. I don't think it'd offer enough "keep things still" structure to immobilize the arm as you sleep, either.Still, it's an excellent price for something you need.

Very good light weight sling
Very good product. Worked in shower and as a short-term back up to my full size immobilizer. The only improvement would be of you could adjust the location of the shoulder padding but not a deal breaker.

Comfortable, Adjustable, and Perfect for Recovery
This sling is lightweight, breathable, and easy to wear, even for long periods. The mesh design makes it ideal for the shower, and it dries quickly without trapping moisture.I appreciate the adjustable straps, which make it comfortable for both right and left arm injuries. It provides solid support for my shoulder and elbow while still allowing a bit of movement for comfort.Overall, this is a well-designed, practical sling that’s great for anyone recovering from a rotator cuff, elbow, or wrist injury.

Great sling for the shower. Even used it in a swimming pool
Percent for use in the shower. I bought this after having rotated cuff surgery and it worked great. I was told by my doctor that i could only take my arm out of the sling to shower but had to keep it by my side. I was so nervous not to have it in a sling and this sling made me feel at ease in the shower knowing my shoulder was protected

really 2.5 stars
This sling is somewhat functional "insurance" against injury when showering after shoulder surgery, but the material is very thin, which reduces its protective qualities. The design itself is very good. It could be a 5 star product with more substantial material. Dries rapidly.

The BEST all around arm sling, not just for showers!
Wow! Bought this postoperatively for in the shower, but it’s MUCH BETTER than the hospital-issued one!No Velcro to fight with. The mesh is comfortable and so much more breathable, wearing it this summer. It adjust very quickly and EASY ON/ EASY OFF 😊Shoulder/neck padding is soft and stable. So glad I found this!

Great sling for shower
this sling is great for taking a shower, it is not a high grade medical sling that some complained about the quality of, but that’s not what it is intended for. This has been great for taking a shower and keeping arm secured after rotator cuff surgery. It is lightweight and drains very well. You could also use this on a hot day as it is well ventilated, but again it is designed for using in water and do not think it will last a long time for everyday use. It has been great for me during surgery recovery.
