When a mysterious young man (Iko Uwais) jolts awake after months in a coma from a gunshot wound to the head, he is nursed back to health by a young student doctor, Ailin. Realising he has lost his memory, she renames him Ishmael, and the two soon grow closer. But it s not long before their lives collide with a gang of dangerous criminals led by an enigmatic crimelord known simply as Lee, and when Ailin is violently taken, Ishmael has no choice but to confront his past, awakening a dark truth and lethal personality within him... A full-tilt, all-out revenge thriller, packed with bone-crunching, bullet-blasting, blood-spurting martial arts and violence, this is Crank meets The Bourne Identity for the next generation of action fans! Review: What a film. - Found this film originally on Netflix because I was looking for more Iko Uwais' films and found this as well as another which I can't find on Blu-ray nor DVD "The Night Comes For Us" for those wondering, anyway. Headshot was a really incredible viewing and made me get purchase it on Blu-ray because I really enjoyed it, it reminded me of the direction Gareth does and that's what I love with films and shows etc, all Hollywood does with action films is they cut every second and you see maybe a minute of action if that. With this film and Gareth's films. He gets up in the action and doesn't cut away, all the fight scene have a reason, unlike most action films. With every other film they fight just for the sake of fighting, which if the sequences are good. Aight I guess but, nine times out of time they always cut away from most fighting and everything else. Anyway tangent over, Headshot stars Iko Uwais (The Raid, The Raid 2), Chelsea Islan, Sunny Pang & Julie Estelle (The Raid 2) the films follows Iko's character who was in a coma from a gunshot wound who was nursed back to health by a doctor Ailin (Julie Estelle) and we follow another character Lee, played by Sunny Pang. We follow Iko's character as he tries to remember what happened and put the events that led to being in a coma together. Review: Good film but not enough martial arts fight scenes for me. - This a very good film, with great acting and storyline throughout. My only disappointment with it ( and why the raid films are superior ) is because there just wasn't enough of Uwais' incredible martial arts skills on show in this film. There is a lot more gun action etc but not anywhere near as much hand-hand combat as in the raid films. Still a good film, and still worth a watch.

The Bourne Identity
After betraying his brutal crime boss Ishmael is shot and his body left to the fishes in the sea. Sometime later he washes up on a shore with no memory and is nursed back to health by a local doctor. In the meantime mister crime boss escapes from prison in brutal fashion and after discovering one of his best enforcers is still alive, sends his best assassins after him to finish the job. I was drawn to Headshot mostly because of the spectacular talents of star Iko Uwais , previously seen in the bone crunching Raid movies. I guess I was hoping for something similar here but this one doesn't live up to such high standards unfortunately. The length of the film and the pacing are quite slow for a film of this type which does mean parts of the story drag somewhat. The fight scenes are still spectacularly brutal, especially the final showdown but I didn't feel the choreography flowed as well as other films of this type, the fights all looked a little too staged. The most memorable bit of the film is Sunny Pang who plays villain Lee, he has the kind of charisma and on screen presence to make a very decent villain and his character was well written. An average action film that is unlikely to stand the test of time.

Amazing movie . Goodbye Holywood 👋
Amazing movie xx sad there dont have dub. X as subtitles uve to keep reading. Lol. But goodbye Hollywood 👋. This film. And most Indonesian or Asian movies are the best. Especially if you like action , martial arts and a good story. X Headshot blew me away tbh. . The storyline and the sad life off kids being toughened up by the biggest mobster in Indonesia. . If you like RAID OR RAID 2 wait till you see this lol. X blow ur mind away . X

Boring.
One of the worst martialarts films I've seen in a long time. Nothing happens for the first 35 minutes. Zero realism in the fight sequences where characters fighting for their lives always stand back and let the opponent recover. This film is for removed from The Raid.

If youn like martial arts then you will love this
Being a huge fan of Raid and Raid 2 and especially Iko Uwais (the film is Indonesian with English subtitles ) I had to buy it, If you enjoy blood and gore and the sound of bones cracking this film is for you. Not as good as the RAID MOVIES but a very close second I found there was too much gun play and not enough fighting to which fans of Iko Uwais have come to expect that is until the last hour ,and its nice to see him get injured which makes him more human and realistic ,the last big fight scene is great (there are fight scenes in the movie) IF you enjoy martial arts films especially from South Korea and Indonesia I heartily recommend this film, some say it was a little long I thought not long enough.

Action. Adrenaline. Headshot. Kill.
Incredible movie. Action packed. Zack Lee who plays one of the bad guys in this movie is beyond excellent. Timo, the director has done a stunning job with this. Sunny Pang is also brilliant. My only critique, I wanted to the soundtrack to be better.

Everything that Iko Uwais is in is pure gold. I now understand why my father loved martial arts movies. The story is engaging and it's so action packed that it keeps you on edge.
