So far so good
The bulb installed easily and is working well. Hopefully, it will last. One thing I discovered when changing the bulb was that the original bulb was still working fine. I'm not certain if the Sony TV has a timer and when a certain time is up, it indicates that the bulb needs to be changed.

RIP-OFF and therefore, so was the TV
The Sony TV SXRD 60 inch came with a replacement lamp. The 2 lamps have lasted (the TV actually) SIX years. However, bought THIS lamp as next replacement, installed it carefully and it lasted 30 seconds and POP...out !! SONY wants $349.00 for their part with a 90 day warrantee. SONY claims it wil last 5,0000 hours. But who knows, after 90 days, it can break. DO NOT BUY THIS TV>>>EVER. We bought it for $2500.00 with the representation that the bulb replacemnt turned it into a "new" TV. Sounded good, and with the 2 SONY bulbs it has been fine. BUT try figuring out which dealer will sell you a good bulb, including SONY. It's already outdated technology, which is exactly what SONY sounted on. A NIGHTMARE. Wish we'd never bought the bloody thing.

Replacement unit.
Originally I ordered the replacement bulb to exchange wit my original case. It didn't fit. I returned it. So I was forced to buy the entire assy. It works well so far (about 2 weeks now). Although it is just slightly darker than the original bulb. Good replacement for an older rear projector.

bulb is cheap quality and there were NO gaskets on lamp housing

I now have great color on my 60 inch Sony. Just what I needed at a good price. Would buy another one.

Lamp is not a good product.
Lamp burned out in 2 weeks. Not good at all. very disappointed in this product. I Would not buy again.

Not exactly what is pictured but operating satisfactorily!
The photograph is of an actual Sony lamp when you are actually buying a generic brand lamp. The picture should be changed to reflect the actual product. For the price, you are not getting the same high quality of a Sony but we kept it and installed in in our TV anyways since the company has a 6 month return policy. After 2 months of operation, we have no complaints and the picture is very good.
