Great price, good quality, VERY tight fit
I struggled to remove it but perhaps that's a good thing. From a new Canon lens.

Excellent value but a word of caution
I think this is excellent value for money and for the price can't fail to be a good buy in most situations. Clarity is great, as is build quality. My only observation is that due to it's 'slim' profile I found that if adding an additional metal lens hood to the front of the filter the slim profile means there are very few threads on the front edge to provide what feels to be a secure fixing to the lens hood. If your not fitting an additional lens hood, and you only plan on using a lens cap on the front or additional filters - you won't have any issues. For me to resolve this I need to purchase a non-slim profile filter.

Excellent UV Filter for My DSLR Lens
I recently purchased the MC 49mm UV Filter - Ultra Slim 16 Layers Multi Coated Ultraviolet Protection Lens Filter for my Canon DSLR lens, and I am extremely satisfied with its performance. This filter has proven to be an essential accessory for my photography needs, providing excellent protection for my lens while delivering exceptional image quality.First and foremost, the build quality of this UV filter is outstanding. It feels solid and well-made, and the slim design adds to its aesthetic appeal. The installation process was effortless, and it fits securely onto my lens without any issues. The threading is smooth and precise, allowing for easy attachment and removal. The 16 layers of multi-coating on this filter are truly impressive. I have noticed a significant reduction in unwanted reflections, flares, and ghosting in my photos. The filter effectively blocks out UV light, which helps in preserving the true colors and sharpness of my images. I have also found it to be highly durable, with no signs of scratches or marks despite extensive use in various outdoor conditions. Moreover, this filter does not introduce any noticeable degradation to the image quality. The pictures I capture with the MC UV filter exhibit remarkable clarity, contrast, and overall brilliance. It serves as an additional layer of protection for my lens, shielding it from dust, dirt, and potential scratches without compromising the image quality. In terms of compatibility, this filter is versatile and works flawlessly with Canon, Nikon, and Sony DSLR lenses that have a 49mm filter thread. It is a convenient option for photographers who own multiple camera systems or lenses from different brands.Lastly, the price point for this UV filter is reasonable, considering the quality and performance it offers. I believe it is a worthwhile investment to safeguard the longevity and performance of my valuable lenses. To summarize, the MC 49mm UV Filter is an exceptional accessory for any DSLR lens. Its build quality, effective UV protection, and impressive image quality make it a must-have for photographers. I highly recommend this filter to anyone in need of reliable lens protection and improved photographic results. Well done, MC!Disclaimer: I received no incentives or discounts for writing this review.

Nice filter
Well packed, delivered on time. Comes in card box cover with plastic case inside. Filter is seated securely in a soft, polyurethane type material which kept it well protected. Filter construction is a high quality plastic and a clear glass. Used on Nikon P950, fits perfectly, seems to be very clear and quality glass. Fits on camera body and also inside lens hood as I have it. No apparent degradation pictures and would appear to perform as intended. Only thing to note; installs and removes easily from lens body, but fitted to the lens hood it is a bit more reluctant to be removed but is very secure and not likely to fall out. Happy with product and well recommend.

Near premium quality for a great price
I bought the 49mm version of this for my back up camera so didn’t want to pay megabucks, I was really impressed with the quality of the filter - I compared it directly to a Hoya HMC filter and it seems to be as good at controlling reflections. I also compared it to some other well recommended budget filters and it appeared to be to be a step up in performance. Given the good performance to price ratio I bought another 58mm filter to use on a more expensive lens and I’m just as pleased with it. The filter has a thin profile, it’s well made with nice matt finish and a natty gold line. The gold line might not be to everyone’s taste, personally I like it. It will protect your expensive lenses without degrading quality of your images, recommended

Incredible value, very nice thin profile design, and doesn't affect image quality.
If you've ever had pay to get a lens repaired to replace a damaged front lens element, you know it is well worth it to put on a protective filter. Some people say don't put questionable glass in front of good glass. Maybe they have a money tree in their backyard, but considering the cost of repair, if I had no other choice, I would even put mediocre glass in front of good glass if it saves me the cost of repair and the image quality was only minimally affected. Fortunately, there are choices out there, and for the longest time, I used B+W XS-Pro UV filters on my lenses. The B+W costs a lot more than these Waka filters, but they worked and didn't affect image quality. Not so long ago, I bought a camera kit for the kids to learn with. There were some cheap ($200-300 lenses) kit lenses that came with the kit and out of habit, I wanted to put a protective filter on those lenses, but I didn't want to pay the B+W prices for a $200 lens. Fortunately, I found these Waka filters and the price was irresistible so I tried them out and got some of the 52mm ones. To my surprise, they seemed very high quality, and the multi-layer coating is real! (i was expecting some false advertising here, considering the price) Needless to say, I was pleased with the price and surprised by the quality.A few months later, I acquired some new lenses for my own camera and decided to try out these Waka filters again, this time the 67mm and 77mm ones. And once again, I am very pleased with these filters. Very low profile, absolutely no image quality loss that I can tell. It certainly will make no difference for my work, while protecting my new lenses and keeping money in my pocket. After experiencing this quality at this price point, I find it hard to justify the cost of B+W now.My only question is... the word "Japan" is printed on the lens, but these are clearly manufactured in China. (says so on the box and product description here) So, what does this mean? Is "Waka" a Japanese firm that manufactured these in China? I've just never heard of "Waka" brand before.
