Good starter kit
bought for my 11 year old grandson who was desperate to start fishing, i was a keen fisherman during my younger years so agreed to teach him. lasted 10 mins before he got bored so that was that , but it has rekindled my love of fishing so i will be using in the future. Has every thing you need to learn the basics. surprised at quality for such a reasonable price. expect i will be upgrading soon, but going solo without grandson!

Perfect starter pack
Bought for my 6 year old grandson for his first fishing trip with his dad and I. Easy to assemble and get started with. He actually caught a six pound mirror carp which is more than we caught all day! Only thing I would suggest is to take the line that comes with it of and put your own on it. It is very springy and hindered distance for casting. Other than that it will be well used.

Good starter kit
Bought this for my 9yr old as he wanted his own rod for trout fishing. Took me a little bit of time to set up which is more to do with how long ago I last had a rod myself, but once done the reel worked well and the rod gives the impression of being strong and good quality. I'd definitely recommend for all beginners looking for a fishing rod kit.

Go to a fishing shop instead
Bought this for my sons birthday to get him into fishing. Really disappointed as I thought it was a complete starter set . You get a rod , reel , line , miniature hooks and some metal balls that are meant to do something. You get what you pay for I suppose but its probably better going to a fishing shop and seeing what they have on offer and what they'd recommend as a starter pack.

There was no instructions on how to use the reel we still have not worked out how to use it.
