Tiny and sensitive, with multiple possible configurations
[Updated October 2014]Although I purchased this in late September 2014 it was only over the Xmas 2014 period I had a chance to play with this. Previously, even though I followed the additional documentation (as mentioned in the Amazon description) I could not get this to work.Recently however, September 2015, the seller contacted me as he had been unaware of my issues and immediately sent me a new item directly from Amazon, which I have had a very brief chance to play with.Firstly, the receiver is tiny - just look at the photos I've included against a two-pence piece. But its tinyness does not make it any less sensitive and I immediately could control it from just over 20 metres through a couple of walls - I suspect I could get a lot more if I unwound the receiver aerial coil. The documentations says the range is anything from 20 metres to 200 metres (in open air).It operated just fine on 3.0 volts; the label on the item stated 3v - 5v but the seller has indicated 3v is much safer so that's where it's staying. It comes with 3 wires soldered directly to the board which I hated as they will undoubtedly break whilst including it into a bigger project so I desoldered those (use desoldering wick) and soldered a standard 5-pin header (search for Arduino 5-pin header pin). This is then connected to a corresponding 5-pin header socket (see other photo) and nothing should break or work loose over time. (see photo). The remote currently switches the relay on using the red 'A' button and off using the 'B' button; I haven't had time to experiment to configure it where I can just just the 'A' to toggle the output or just use one button pressed to switch on the relay until the button is released. I've no doubts this will be successful as I've several similar items from China that do exactly the same thing! The options are many, making this a very versatile product. So why no 5-stars? Well, the price is quite high when compared to similar products sourced from the far east, unsurprisingly. And the lack of a built in 5-pin header just smacks of corner-cutting - at this price this is not acceptable, so both these points lose a star.In conclusion, despite little niggles about the relative high price and lack of header pins, this is a great product that will fit anywhere, runs on a low 3 volts and is very versatile in its configuration. It will undoubtedly find a home in one of my PIC or Arduino project in the near future. And if you do have issues I can only urge you to contact the seller as he's very approachable and responds quickly.I recommend it. And do look at the photos I took so you can fully appreciate its small size. As a bonus you also get a picture of Benny, my rescue cat!

something has gone pop?
Just received the board, initial impressions where good, read the instruction document, de-soldered the correct pins to enable the N/O - COM connection. Connected the unit and all was working. disconnected it and reconnected it and it stopped talking to the transmitter. I attempted the re-connect procedure but the receiver fails to pick up the signal, initially good but now disappointing

Funktioniert ohne Probleme
