AmtechG4200 Laminate Wood Flooring Installation Kit

A great little kit, made well and still going strong after doing 3 rooms. Everything is included that is needed, and the item arrived quickly (so I had no excuses to get on with the job in hand). Seems to be well made, nothing broke and did the job very well. Reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommend.

I bought this kit some time ago for my first attempt at laying laminate. Since then I have bought a couple more made by different manufacturers and I am still using this kit and it is the best. I recently laid a difficult to fit together B&Q floor which needed fitting end to end first then the width; it required some heavy clouts to the pull bar and block to secure the joints, the fitting kit I bought from Wickes gave up fairly quickly with the pull bar beginning to bend and the block actually breaking as it seemed to be manufactured from brittle plastic unlike the Am-Tech which is a bit like a bendy absorbent plastic, ............ this (the Am-Tech) proved resilient to the force required to fit the floor and I will be using it again for my next, hopefully less physical, flooring project.

This kit although sold as laminate/wood flooring installation kit is suitable for engineered cork flooring as well. The fitter said he didn't need such a kit but I got one anyway, and the fitter used it and said he would get one and recommend it to fellow fitters (I gave him my kit at the finish). Great value kit, nothing broke.I don't know why I have to enter a rating for 'this toy's educational value', 'durability as a toy', and how I rate this toy overall' as it isn't a toy!!Amazon can't get everything right.

Well, I have to say I did read all the previous reviews before I purchased the set. I knew from local product research the items separately would cost at least double, so I took a punt. Yes, the hammer head worked its way loose, but this was quickly remedied, by screwing it back on tight. The knocking block ( after using it do do my porch, living room and hallway ) did eventually smash to pieces and was consigned to the recycling bin. As for the metal bar, it worked a treat! as too the spacers. All in all, well worth the money, so I rated it 5 stars.

The hammer head has come off, the pull bar has bent so much it damages the floor - i'm sure for it would be fine for laminate as indicated, don't know about hardwood, so my fault for thinking it would work with engineered wood flooring - simply not robust enough for the job. The tapping block has bits coming off it too.Cheap and disappointing - on a plus note the wedges are fine :)

The kit comes with everything you need to do laminate flooring. I however only used the metal puller. Used my own big rubber mallet as mentioned by other reviewers. I used chop saw and made 10mm spacers from plywood, you could also make them from waste laminate flooring. Used waste laminate flooring strip to drive the laminate flooring together as this was much better than the plastic one that comes with the kit. As usual quick delivery.

This set is ok but could have been better.Spacers and puller are great.Tapping block should have been made of thick rubber rather than plastic - to avoid potential damage to laminate.Hammer is tiny and pretty much useless.

Bought this kit to install laminate flooring ourselves. Not being an expert I chose this one as it has all the necessary tools you need to put down laminate flooring in your home. I watched a utube video and got started. This kit didnt fail me it is perfect for the job and having finished the first room I'm now off to buy more laminate for two more rooms. No need for "the professional". Anyone can fit laminate flooring with a jig saw and this kit.

Perfecto set para montaje de suelos laminados. La herramienta Z va perfecta. Solo añadiría unas cuantas cuñas más de plástico.

Si necesitas instalar un suelo de laminado este kit te va a venir bien, el martillo no es nada de otro mundo ya que si le das bastante fuerte se rompe facilmente, las piezas para las juntas no las llegé a usar. Lo realmente útil es el hierro brazo que te sirve para juntar mejor las piezas y el plástico que te sirve de guía para empujar las láminas y no dañarlo.
