Spider-Man 3 (PS2)

Amazing game. I dunno who buys ps2 games anymore, but if you do and you read this, you should definitely buy this game, it's awesome!

This game is ok. The controlles are not the best but accepteble. The story is also so-so. It's game play is good but they could realy improve it. Such as the jumping, camera, combat. Like in combat when somone hits you it stops you from moving. Or when your climbing the walls, when your on a corner the camera spins out of control and you can't see where you are. But not all of it is bad. Its fun to beat up the badguys every now and then. The game is very easy to complete. But in the end of the day, the game is Ok. And if how grafical it is, I think if you son or daughter is mater enough, they could probably play it at the age of 10.

I bought this game and I personally like it. Many reviews will mark it down, and for some good-ish reasons - the graphics are NOT the 'leap forward' they should be, there are some really stupid glitches, it's too much like Spider-Man the Movie 2...But it IS a good game. The controls are fine, the graphics, while not equal to some recent games, are still nice and there are improvements from the last game - instead of 'random crimes', there are 'gang turf wars' where *someone* has to keep gangs at bay and get the police more control over the crime-ridden city of New York, and who better than your friendly neighbourhood Spidey?The city itself is amazing, as is swinging around it - all the monuments and famous places, in real life (like the Empire State building) and the comics (like Oscorp) are present, and swinging is, in my opinion, easier - you can now choose the direction of the webline you are about to swing on (this feature works a tiny bit better on the Wii version).The black suit - a BIG selling point - is fantastic. There's a completely different way to play the game. Instead of the fast-but-weak punches of the traditional red/blue suit, Spidey really packs a punch. Jumping off a building leaves a huge dent in the ground, web swinging is faster, you pass out if you wear it too long... that's a slight downside. After a while through the game, i.e. right near the end, Spidey loses the black suit, so if you want it in Free-Roam (after doing the whole game) you have to (get ready to cry) collect 50 icons around the entire city.There's plenty to do in the game, but it's just a shame that it wasn't as long or as well-polished as it could have been - the game developers were more keen on the XBOX360/PS3/PC versions, and also the game that comes out later this year (apparently), Spider-Man: Friend or Foe, which looks to be quite good, and takes battles from the movies and 'beyond', so instead of shelling out for this, you may want to wait for that.In conclusion, it's a good game, but not a necessary buy.

Bought this as a Christmas present for my grandson. I know it was secondhand but when he came to play it on Christmas Day it wouldn’t work! Very disappointed little boy!

I was looking forward to this game months before it came out. I was told lies and scandlal by the makers of this game (Activision). The Graphics were brilliant and really improved on the last's game's graphics. However, the gameplay wasn't really all that good. The swinging and agility had much that needed to be worked on but the sound wasn't exactly bad!Graphics and sound are needed in this game, however gameplay is much more important and you would need more than an ambulance to fix this game. What i'm trying to say is that this game belongs at the best of the worst and the worst of the best. I advise and warn you to stay away from this game and spend your money on something worthwhile.
