First Alert Fire chest 2037 Fire and water resistant Document Safe 17.5 Lit. with Key lock - 1/2 Hour Fire safe

This is a very solid piece of kit but it came with a couple of disappointments (and after I had to chase the company to deliver it as it went missing in the post - they were very helpful when I pointed this out to them, though, it must be said).The first disappointment is that it did not come with any A4 hanging suspension files which are indicated in its box cover - if I had read closely I would have seen this but nonetheless, disappointing. The second disappointment was that, having then gone out and bought (expensive) A4 hanging suspension files to fit it - they don't fit unless you want to leave the lid open (no, I don't think so).There is a third disappointment - now that I can't use the (expensive) hanging files I thought I would lay the A4 documents flat instead - but they don't fit either. What I have learned from this is to read the documentation and what is included and the size very carefully. Too heavy to send back but an excellent (expensive) seat/doorstop...

It is a bit disappointing that this product costs quite a bit. I am not impressed with the latch for holding the lid down. It is made out of plastic. I check it with a magnet to see if it was meatal, I then got a sharpe knife and managed to shave a corner off easily.Also it is not very wide you will fit A4 pieces of paper. But it is ver snugg if you have anything in plastic wallets or folders.

This is brilliant. Strong and heavy. Perfect for precious documents etc and fantastic value for money.

Exactly what we needed, plenty big for a good number of files, hanging folders sit perfectly, clasp closure is easy and snug.

This product fulfills it's description. It is compact, well made and serves the purpose well.The space inside is small but sufficient for most home needs.
