First, a special thank you to the previous purchasers who replied to my question about wearing glasses when using these headphones. Your information was very helpful, and I can confirm that I find them comfortable and have no problem if wearing classes. I have been looking for some decent wireless headphones, but could only find ones that were made to work with digital toys like smartphones and tablets (I also appreciate that they use standard AAA rechargeable batteries). I have connected these to the pre-amp output sockets on a decent Rotel amplifier, and switch the speaker outputs off when I use the headphones. This arrangement means that I can use the volume control (and tone controls when rarely needed) on the amplifier which has a remote control, and that ALL my sound sources (CD, TV, Freeview recorder, DVD, vinyl) are available for headphone listening. Set up took only a couple of minutes. The volume control on the headphones gets noisy as the level is increased to maximum (try it with a silent source), so my arrangement allows me to leave it at a mid-range setting and never adjust it. Do not put the headphones on until a few moments after switching them on, to avoid the annoying and loud 'bingly bongly' tune they produce for a few seconds. I have tested the headphones by walking around my small house, and the sound is clear in all rooms. I have used a test CD to confirm that the frequency range extends down to about 28-30 Hz (which is good for 'open back' headphones) and up to at least 16 KHz (which is the limit of my hearing). They are better than I expected for music too, as long as the sound setting on the transmitter is not adjusted. As with all European-branded stuff made in China, long term reliability is the main concern - I shall treat them very carefully.

The setup between headphones and Tv etc was straight forward. But over the short time I have had this Headphones set the re-chargeable batteries have failed to charge sufficiently and sound has cut out during programs on at least 5 occasions and needed a recharge before functioning again. The charging mechanism is shown in the product picture that you have to balance the headphones on the stand to make contact and a red LED will turn on showing charging. I normally charge them over night each night which should give sufficient recharge. At times during the day I have noticed the Red LED flickering off and on (when I haven't used what should be a fully charged Headset).

I have always bought this wonderful Sennheiser’s product, and the same model as well. Great sound quality and saves the neighbours from unwanted noise! It was delivered on time and well wrapped. I spent a long time though trying to get it to transmit voices/music etc. No result! I even arranged for the headset to be returned! Then I found on the web that unplugging the tv could restore the connection. I did this, and waited for10 minutes , and put the plug back in- it worked!

The Sennheiser phones arrived today, which were ordered last Friday. I promptly put them to use, and they sound great. Tutto bene per l'ordine e la consegna (come praticamente sempre). Non voglio confondere le idee agli utilizzatori di cuffie, ma ho la sensazione di poterlo fare, visto il mio giudizio. Questo modello di cuffia, che utilizzo praticamente da 20 anni nelle sue precedenti incarnazioni, ha poche differenze rispetto al modello precedente, 120-II. La sintonizzazione è automatica, ed è sparito il relativo controller. Sennheiser afferma di avere migliorato questo aspetto, per quanto mi riguarda lo confermo, con questo modello le interferenze sono, nella mia esperienza finora, assolutamente assenti. Non è detto che sia così per tutti, io fornisco solo la mia testimonianza, talora le 120-II risentivano di qualche disturbo, queste no. La qualità del suono è uguale, anche se - confermando quanto affermato da altri - le 120-W presentano un timbro leggermente più argentino delle precedenti, che ad essere critici si potrebbe definire sbilanciato, ma poco, verso gli acuti. Le 120-II erano a mio parere esemplari per il bilanciamento del suono, ma voglio precisare che la caratteristica citata non è di impatto tale da rappresentare per me un difetto o un peggioramento. I selettori di "modalità" (neutra, musica, parlato) determinano un cambiamento netto e percepibile del suono, nella modalità musica (che ovviamente sembra potenziare i bassi) l'alterazione è a mio parere eccessiva, e l'ambiente sonoro diventa ovattato, troppo. Io uso la cuffia nella modalità neutrale. E veniamo al giudizio che meraviglia me medesimo, ma che riporto a titolo di confronto. Queste cuffie vengono definite "da TV". Non da musica. Le 505 SE col filo, ad esempio, vengono considerate "da musica"; e suonano bene, in effetti. Ma io, onestamente, preferisco queste. Anche e soprattutto per la musica. Il suono mi sembra equilibrato, più godibile, più fresco. Non parliamo poi del confronto con le RS-175, anch'esse definite "da TV", ma allo stesso tempo, superiori alle 120. Non la penso così, ho comprato! le RS-175 e il suono mi sembrava 'inscatolato'. Per me, nettamente peggiore. Quindi io non intendo fornire un giudizio straniante, ma lo fornisco perché è il sincero risultato delle mie prove. Io amo e preferisco il suono di queste cuffie, ANCHE per la musica. Non so se sono l'unico, ma per me questo modello è veramente ottimo, e vince inaspettatamente alcuni confronti.

Aunque son algo más caros que la media que se puede encontrar, a mí madre le han encantado, son cómodos y escucha bien la TV ahora
