D'Addario Woodwinds Select Jazz Alto Sax Reeds, Filed, Strength 2 Medium, 10-Pack

I tried different brands but i always come back to rico. In the Rico range i tend to prefer the Jazz select, anyway reeds choice is too subjective so the reason for the 5 stars is that quality of these reeds is consistent between differrent packages (which is important because you need what to expect from your reed), price is reasonable, in my case they also tend to last longer than other brands. They have good response.

During lockdown I have been trying different makes of reed and these are definitely my new favourite. I know reeds are very personal but for jazz these are great. Slightly stiffer and a bit less flexible, but a great mellow 'jazz night' sound.

I just started saxophone and decided to buy these. They do work but definitely not for beginners. You have to blow more air out but over time I’m starting to slowly get the hang of it. If you play sax for a long time. 100% recommend it

Excellent cane reeds, very consistent & not difficult to play - I usually favour a synthetic reed, but these play well with very little soaking prep

As a relative beginner who has been learning for less than a year I decided to try these for getting up to the top notes rather than thinking I was good enough to play with a harder reed. Yes I'm now hitting those notes and the sound of the rest is lovely and warm

J'adore les anches select jazz!! Elles permettent de jouer facilement le hautes notes. J'ai essayé quelques sortes différentes et honnêtement ce sont mes préférées. Le prix est bon et la livraison rapide.

Vero suono jazz... se si possiede un sax da jazz. Suono potente e caldo, richiedono un po’ di pressione in più. Sinceramente sono tra le mie ance preferite, anche per altri generi.

EINLEITUNGIch spiele als Hauptinstrumente Klavier und Gitarre. Mittlerweile seit einiger Zeit auch Saxophon. Geblieben bin ich bei meinem Erstsaxophon. Allerdings habe ich das 4C Mundstück durch ein Meyer Mundstück ersetzt. Mittlerweile habe ich eine Blätter durchprobiert. Von Rico, Gonzalez, Vandoren (Jazz und Java). Gefallen haben mir bis am besten die Vandoren, wobei ich hier mit den Java am längsten gespielt habe. Insgesamt haben sie mir vom Klang her gute gefallen. Wie das im Jazz so ist, ist man doch auf der Suche nach etwas individuellem bzw. "seiner perfekten Klangfarbe".REZENSIONNachdem mich die letzten Blätter irgendwie frustriert haben und ich nicht wirklich weiter gekommen bin. Habe ich mir zufällig verschiedene Blätter gekauft. Unter anderem die Select Jazz Filed von D'Addario. Der Klang war mir von Anfang sehr sympathisch. Es ist ein weicher, warmer und voller Klang, der meiner "Idealvorstellung" entsprach. Im direkten Vergleich zu den Vandoren Jazz ein sehr klarer und nicht zu dumper Klang. Die Ansprache der Blätter ist gut und präzise. Von Haus aus kaputte Blätter hatte ich bisher noch nicht. Nach 4-5 Tagen Einspielen ließ sich bisher jedes Blatt sehr angenehm spielen. Leider halten die 2M nicht sehr lange. In Rotation mit 4-5 Blättern, komm ich allerdings ein paar Monate durch. Für stärkere Blätter wie 3er, üb ich vergleichsweise zum Klavier noch zu wenig und empfinde es als zu anstregend. Wie auch in einer Vorzension ist der Klang die Mühe der eher kurzen Haltbarkeit in allen Fällen wert. Ich möchte diese Blätter nicht mehr missen.FAZITSaxophon+Mundstück+Blatt Kombinationen sind zwar immer sehr subjektiv. Ich bin mit ihnen stets zufrieden, deshalb habe ich mir erstmals einen 10er Pack gekauft. Ein Update gibt es wenn die verbraucht sind wieder.
