A true 'WIZZ' in the kitchen - solid, looks good, does what it says on the tin
This is an amazing piece of kit. It truly does what it says on the tin - it whizzes through grating vegetables beautifully, cheese, making breadcrumbs, pesto and the list goes on. I've not tried baking with it ..... yet!The machine looks good but is rather heavy so it is highly recommended to ensure that you have enough worktop space so you can leave it out on display - and why wouldn't you! The footprint isn't too big - it's just the height of it with the lid on that MAY mean you cannot store it under a cabinet - mine is next to my fridge freezer with the discs and blades in their box on top of the freezer and it works well. The only reason for sitting mine on the tray as pictured is to make it much easier to move from where it's stored to where I use it.I personally think that even if you're not a baker/regular dish 'creator', this still has it's daily uses in any kitchen - whether it is just bulk grating/slicing lovely veggies and/or fruit, whizzing up some mayonnaise or pesto, whatever, it's worth the investment. Other cheaper equipment you could argue can do the same thing for less money but I promise you, this is so much quicker - and washing up isn't that much of a drama to be honest (I don't have a dishwasher) - just have a bowl of hot water and washing up liquid ready so you can 'swoosh' the blades/discs immediately after use and leave them to drain in the supplied storage box or one your sink's drainer - there are little holes in the bottom of each disc/blade holder in the supplied box for this reason.I'll be honest, I did ummm and aaargh about this for a while and wondered whether I'd get much use out of it but trust me, I do so it was a great investment. However, a side-note (though I would hope it goes without saying) - be VERY CAREFUL WITH THE BLADES, they're INCREDIBLY SHARP so no little hands anywhere near them! Buy one of these beasts, you won't regret it.

Brilliant machine, its the real thing, I love it!
I spent ages researching different food processors, weighing up known brands, cost, reviews and guarantees and then crossed my fingers and bought this. I'm so glad I did, its wonderfully stable and much quieter than I thought, my blender makes much more noise! I've been processing seriously large batches of apples, potatoes and beetroot and its awesome how it just slices in seconds whatever thickness I need and they're all neat and even. Its fabulously time saving, using a knife I'd still be chopping now!The variation of size of shoot is really useful, the large one is huge - whole potatoes, large gherkins and cucumber lengthways for sandwiches, (long cucumber slices make it much easier to assemble sandwiches that stay together rather than little circles).I've blitzed up some almond butter, hummus as well as ginger-beetroot and tomato sauces, .... and I've only had it 1 day! The peanuts are waiting to go in in the morning for fresh peanut butter and the hubby has ordered chips for tea tomorrow ...It is quite big but not excessively so and doesn't quite sit under my top cupboards but I knew that and have a spot to put it - it will definately live out and be in use often, its pretty easy to clean, warm soapy water after greasy stuff orrinse with water between veg and its good to go - the bottom of the big jug is a bit fiddly to dry but a good soft cloth and its done. All in all I'm really thrilled with it, it feels like a quality piece of kit that will last, I often do quite large batches for church and family parties and it will make my life so much easier - can't wait for the next event!

Product on another level
What I liked:A very powerful product.A large container.doesn't make noise.I liked less:There are corners that are more difficult to clean. It weighs a lot and it's scary that it might break.

A great processor I am looking forward to using more!
The delivery was prompt and well boxed. The unit is quite heavy but more in the feels very sturdy and stable weight, not you're going to put your back out lifting me heavy. The base is shaped to be streamlined into a cupboard with the square outlines. The top and base I store separately because they are quite tall together. The blade case is fantastic, not only because it is smart looking and functional, but with a inept cook like myself, you want to:-a) remove hazardous outcroppings of sharpened blades ready to shred your blindly questing hands in the bottom of the cupboardb) they are named. Who would NOT appreciate that?c) they are protected from dust and unintentional contact with other items in the cupboard. It is large though, so if your kitchen is small, make sure you get the dimensions and can fit it in. It is worth it.So, about it's use. I am a terrible cook. I need to get more organised and learn some great recipes. This unit has helped me a great deal. Even in the stress of trying a new recipe, it cannot be anything other than fun to chuck objects in a machine and watch them get spit out in the size and shape you want.I do often find that I will chop things myself if there are only a few things to do (and it is not worth the washing up). However, when you have a lot of things or quantity to do - it is perfect. When we were making a few apple pies, we peeled and cored the 10 apples, then popped them in to be sliced in 15 seconds. It was blisteringly fast. I have yet to perfect using the inner (smaller) container, but even a complete duffer like me made a lovely laksa paste and it was fun!If it can make things more fun, then I am all for it! I feel that I will only get more use from it when I get more time to enjoy and learn recipes with it. It certainly feels like it is made well and will be sticking with me for quite some time.
