Vietnamese boots light yet sturdy, comfortable yet rugged.
These boots replace a clunkier pair whose Vibram sole had separated from the body. One of the selling points of these was, yes it also had a Vibram sole but the body was sewn into it rather than just glued on. The sole may be slightly thinner than the previous pair's but is still thick enough to stand up to rough terrain. The chocolate brown leather looks good. We will see how long it lasts when scratched, poked and prodded. Sold by a Portland, Oregon company (wrapped in a replica of a 1930's city map!), the boots were made in Vietnam, not China (which is a refreshing switch from the norm). When I first saw them they looked too small, given that my previous boots were well used and seemingly bigger. However, they fit more like socks and provide exactly the protection and comfort desired. I have high hopes for them and will leave the more abusive work oriented tasks to my older pair (once I get them fixed), in hopes these Danner boots stay looking good and stay functional for a couple of decades at least.

*Excellent Boot*
I'm not typically one to write product reviews, however, these are worth the additional trouble. I purchased these Danners approximately two years previous and they've been on my feet nearly every day since then. My solitary complaint is that the Vibram sole is an incredibly soft composition and wears rather quickly.Otherwise, if you have even a small knowledge base in caring for leather, the boots are superlative. I routinely use a distressed leather conditioner (maybe every week in the winter months, when the boots are getting wet on a regular basis and once every two weeks with less moisture.) and have never had an issue with cracking or splitting on the leather. I also have yet to experience an issue with the stitched seams breaking or loosening. As a sidenote of interest, I get more compliments on these boots than I've ever cumulatively gotten on any other footwear I've ever owned to this point in my life.In summation, these boots are excellent and I would buy them again, in the event that I had to. Otherwise, like any quality footwear, they're entirely serviceable and therefore, it will be many more years to come before I would actually need to. Invest in your feet.

Great boot with exception
Solid construction. I bought these because they aren’t selling the hiker 600. Not the same feel but a decent boot if you have an active job. Insoles are garbage. I tossed them and bought bought gel supports. Super happy with that decision.

Very comfortable.
Most comfortable boot off the shelf I ever tried. Stable traditional sole which I need as one foot roles in and the other out. Acknowledged by danner this is not a work boot or waterproof, but has held up fairly well for yard work, walking and I split about 4 cords of wood a year by hand. Have had them for a few years and still holding up fine.

Great Boots!
These were the first Danner boots I've purchased so I was hesitant due to the price and the many poor reviews. I am happy I took the chance and these are great work boots. I don't work outdoors often but am in a large warehouse type setting when not in the office. I take a minimum of 20k steps daily and the soles have held up after 6 months. Many reviewers stated the soles wore out after a few weeks- this wasn't the case for me. I used some Danner Boot Dressing after 4 months of use and it brought them back to looking like new. Very stylish and comfortable... Highly recommended.

Danner Rambler
Danner Boots are the best just added my 7th pair. Never been let down since my 1st pair of Ft. Lewis to the new North Fork Rambler. Excellent fit, wear and rugged durability. Keep doing what you’re doing!

Extremly Comfortable & Light
Good quality, not quite as nice as my last Danners which were made in the USA and lasted 20 years of heavy use hunting and hiking lots of backcountry miles on them, and were re-soled twice but they are now shot, the new version is $380 and without question the best boots - shoes of any kind I have ever owned, these are less than half the price and imported, they are lighter and the leather is thinner. These have good stitching and appear well made. We'll see how these hold up, they are extremely comfortable and light. Danners just seem to fit my feet perfectly right out of the box, and require very llittle break in. These are niceboots for the money.
