Very good
I needed something that was a little more ‘exciting’ yet useful for 7 year old, who was struggling a little with fractions. This book has been an amazing buy!Pros:1) colourful (my kid loves colourful books)2) simple and easy to follow examples. No long winded explanations, or incomprehensible explanations.3) it has stickers. Now it does depend on your child, but my kid loves stickers. The added bonus, use stickers to answer questions!4) lightweight!Cons:1) the books is concise and easy to use, but a few more questions for each topic would be an added bonus.Overall, extremely happy with this book. After using this, my child’s teacher stated that the fraction would has improved immensely (and she was happily surprised!).

Highly recommended - comprehensive and FUN!
This book is fantastic. My daughter is a very young y4 child, her fractions are pretty good but she needed help with decimals. We are working through the fractions section and it's brilliant, it explains so clearly and is really brightly and attractively written so she's actually enjoying her work. It's great practice for her on the stuff she knows and helping her to catch up on stuff she's unsure about. I highly recommend this book!!

Check that you don't have a fraction of the book left
Another useful resource but like the other Usborne books, pages fall out too easily! Instructions are not always clear!

Lots of stickers,... but the kids ...
Lots of stickers,... but the kids interested and capable of doing fractions, are gone beyond stickers I think..Other than that, lots of exercises and practice of fractions..

Absolutely Brilliant! Serious Maths Made Fun
Wow! I'm so impressed. We've been fans of the lift-the-flap books since my kids were babies so I bought the lift-the-flap Fractions book and as an aside two copies of these Activity books for my kids in Year 3. The lift-the-flap Fractions book is good, but not necessary. These Activity books are all you need. Really colourful with clear teaching, interesting activities and lots of stickers so it feels quite playful but there's some serious maths here. The book is split into three sections: fractions, decimals and percentages.Within the fraction section alone you have: equivalent fractions; simplifying fractions; proper, improper and mixed fractions; finding fractions of numbers; comparing fractions; and fraction arithmetic. We've used the Bond books until now; they do the job and we'll continue to use them. But we have found them to be quite dry and I've often wished they went a bit deeper into certain subjects and offered more subject-specific practice. These Activity books are so different to Bond books and yet really effective. Can't recommend enough.

Great fun for my daughter
We've recently begun home-schooling our 10 year old daughter. She didn't understand a lot of maths principles while she was at school, so we bought this book to help her with fractions and decimals. Not only has she really enjoyed this book, her understanding has MASSIVELY improved from working through it, and it has genuinely enthused her to the extent that she's going around the house finding things she can convert to decimals and fractions, and telling us the answers! I love this book, and am going to take a look at others in the series now :)

Brilliant. Yr 4 and 5!
We love this bookIn the UK it ties in with the year 4 and 5 curriculum.Explains and asks them to show answers in different ways so you are sure they have an understanding. If your children are working at home due to Corona virus i would really recommend this book.
