CONTADINA Tomato Paste, 4 Pack, 6 oz Cans

Traditionally this has been around awhile. The Contadina brand is what my mother used in the Sloppy Joe's and Chili con Carne she would make. I am approaching seventy years old (in 2025). The point is that although there are many generic products available that I prefer over major brands, THIS isn't one of them. This stuff is perfect. If you want as much out of the can there is in each individual can, you can open both ends and spoon it out. Excellent taste. That is the best I can do to describe this product, Contadina Tomato Paste. Amazon is offering this at an amazing price. Completely worth it. Please note: this is not some paid endorsement nor part of a promotional offer etc. I just really like everything this product including the way it's packaged. Food tastes better to me before I even taste it. Contadina did a great job preserving this brand. Great taste and for the record, so as to diss no one, I recommend McCormick brand Sloppy Joe mix to go with this if you're making Sloppy Joe's as other brands don't hold up in comparison for that two ingredient recipe.

Add this with San Marzano tomatoes and your seasoning to create your own pizza sauce

In my opinion you can't go wrong with Contadina tomato paste. I keep it on hand all the time, sometimes buying the full case and sometimes the smaller packs. Honestly I cannot remember the last stretch of time when I did not have some in the house and I'm going back decades. Lovely flavor and very easy to work with. No bitterness or off flavors just fantastic, deep tomato flavor ready to enhance and contribute to your meals and sauces. Sometimes I make a quick, no-cook pizza sauce with a can of Contadina tomato paste, 7 oz water, 1 oz olive oil, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes. If you want to add things like garlic or onion, or house seasonings then now is the time. Just stir it and let the flavors marry in the fridge and you can get a few pizza's from it over a few days time.
