Excellent book for learner to professional alike.
The book is thorough in covering all electrical and electronic aspects of motor vehicle design. Concepts are well explained with good diagrams, tables and photographs to support good technical writing. Particularly good for mechanical service engineer upgrading his electrical and electronic knowledge.

This was a present for a student to help with apprentiship course work. It appears to be very comprehensive and easy to understand the descriptions of the various functions associated with modern vehicles, including the very important electrical principles. It was well recaived.

I have been working on my cars since I was a 16 years old. Cars have become very complex in terms of electrical and electronic systems, which was the impetus for purchasing this book. Being an EE, much of the circuits in this book are easy to understand. This is more of a reference book to further my knowledge on electrical systems in modern cars, and how to diagnose them using a bidirectional diagnostic tool with greater clarity. I like to work on things with my hands, diagnose equipment, repairing and replacing parts. This book should be enjoyable to read and study after flipping through many sections.
