Nanogen Thickening Heat Protecting Spray is a nice lightly fragranced product to use. The instructions stated that to receive the best results you should use the shampoo and conditioner from the same range. I wanted to use it on its own to see how well it worked and I must say I am very pleased with the results. First, you are told to coat all your hair from root to tip, therefore I sprayed each side of my head then using a wide-toothed comb I combed the product throughout my hair. The fragrance is nice and delicate, not overpowering which a lot of hair products would usually have. It is full of pro-vitamins plus niacinamide which is a form of Vitamin B3, Vitamin B is excellent both for skin and hair as it holds onto moisture which helps prevent hair and skin from drying out. This is the perfect Vitamin for hair as it will aid that glossy, thick lustrous hair we all love to have.I progressed then to blow-drying my hair and immediately the fullness effect was clear to see, and I am hoping that as I continue to use this on a regular basis my hair will return to being my crowning glory. I have an underactive thyroid plus an early menopause, which both together has left me with thinning hair. My hair feels natural and soft, not stiff or full of product. It is shining with health and I am very pleased with the results.Nanogen Thickening Heat Protecting Spray is a first-class product which I am happy to recommend, this is one I know I will be returning for as the results I received even from the first use is soft healthy-looking hair which is enjoying a thickening effect which for me personally is a great result.Happy to recommend.

Nonogen thickening heat protecting spray is an aqueous solution of additives which are designed to 'cook' when heat is applied via a hot hairdryer or straightening tongs in order to provide a soft protective layer to the hair folicles. It also contains things like caffeine which seems to be quite popular as an additive for shampoo and conditioners recently. Caffeine is apparently good for protecting against thinning hair and 'stimulates' the scalp. Albeit how a large molecule like caffeine gets through the outer dead layer of skin cells is not revealed.The trick to using this product is to shampoo thoroughly, rinse, towel dry and then spray evenly across the hair and comb through with wide toothed comb before applying any heat. I can only comment on my personal experience to say that, if you don't over-apply it, it leaves the hair thicker, softer and more manageable than ordinary conditioners.

I found this easy to apply and it left my hair soft and manageable. However volume was on offer and volume was what I was mostly after, and I just didn't feel like this delivered on that score. When I mentioned my disappointment to a friend, she was keen to try it herself so I let her have a go. Turns out she loved it! She felt it made a huge difference in volume for her, and also that it protected her style well even after sleeping on it. I actually felt like I could see a difference in her hair too! So Nanogen have probably gained a customer in the end, even if it wasn't me...obviously how effectively this works is an individual matter!

I am a man. There's nothing on the product page to say men can't use this, so I thought I'd have a go and see what happens. I have a thin tuft of hair on my forehead that is on the verge of becoming a break away state. A quick spray of this on the offending area in the morning adds weight and helps me sculpt my hair and integrate it back into the rest of my otherwise fine thatch. The smell is nothing special- it smells like a hair salon- and there's clearly a limit to what thickening spray can do with thin hair. But it actually works and so gets daily use. Besides the convenience of the spray form factor and the little that is needed for an effective application, another benefit of this spray is that it doesn't leave tracks, like gel and wax do. I couldn't ask for more.

My wife tried this out, hoping to have thicker hair as a result.The Nanogen spray has a good spray handle which makes it easy to spray. You need to use around 4 sprays in an area on your hair for it to work. It's fairly scent free, just a feint smell, and didn't dry the hair out as with other sprays we've used in the past.It did leave her hair feeling and looking a little thicker, but just don't go expecting miracles. What it does do well, though, is hold it in place so you can adjust any thinner patches to make your hair look better over all, so it works in one way, at least.

This product works on the premise that applying to the hair and heating will add volume - many other products - often much more expensive do this. It's not a magic product in that regard, but it does the job.For about £10/100mL, this is going to last 50+ blowdryings. It won't do a THING unless you blowdry your hair, obviously!The project IS full of nonsensical ingredients - vitamins that can't do a thing for dead hair - they add them in tiny amounts so they can declare them on the label and up the price - a common marketing gimmick - don't fall for it.
