I've been using this exact foundation for many years (nearly 7 years now!). I obviously love it or I would have changed brands by now. The main reason I continue to use it is because it provides excellent coverage without clogging pores; it also contains no talc. I'd break out with nearly any foundation I tried until I got this. Larenim pressed foundation not only covers my acne, but does not contribute to its formation.There are many reasons to love this product. Not only is it not tested on animals, natural, and well-formulated, but it's also extremely gentle. It doesn't make my face oily like some pressed powders can. It can, however, be cakey when applied in excess. I apply it with a kabuki-type brush and only use the enclosed sponge for small areas that need additional coverage. I also recommend getting a nice matte powder setter for this so it's longer lasting.As for the tone, I have pale skin with red undertones (not full rosacea, but close). Buying makeup online can be iffy so maybe try to find this in a store near you to sample. Many health food type stores sell this. However, I still recommend buying it on Amazon because it's much cheaper here.Overall, I'd recommend this brand, especially if you're prone to acne.

This did not work at all well. I did apply it sparingly, but it caked in the lines in my face. After watching the video, I chose a warm shade lighter than what I thought I needed, but it was still too dark. Doing more research, I purchased a much less expensive liquid makeup, and am quite pleased with it.

I had tried lots of different mineral products and wasn't very impressed with what they promised. My aunt introduced me to larenim at her whole foods market and I was SOLD after the first couple of application of the loose powder. Then when they came out with it I had to try the pressed foundation and it is even better! I use a small flat brush to apply so it doesn't go on at much as the sponge applicator and I can layer as needed. I also have suffered with acne even into adulthood and this has never irritated me or caused any breakouts. I am now pregnant and do not have to worry about putting on makeup that is in any way toxic for me or baby. The BEST mineral product on the market!!

I'm not sure if the product is causing irritation or not, but it does seem to intensify the cracks, crevices, and wrinkles of my face. Is this normal? Again, I don't know if I'm "reacting" to the product or if this is a natural side effect of the product. It goes on smoothly and at first does not look bad, but after a few minutes....wrinkles! Have you heard of this before with other customers? I've had no itching or burning or signs of any other reaction to the product. I really like the compact case, and the applicator pad, but am not sure the product is going to work for me. Also the color was much lighter than my natural skin tone, so I'd need a darker color if I actually used it.

It's hard to tell color via internet. I'm a redhead with yellow undertones. This is a bit too dark for me, but decided to keep it to cover up blemishes. I ordered 2-CM and it's a much better overall match.

I love that Larenim products don't contain gluten or a lot of chemicals. That's why I started using them in the first place. I have oily acne prone skin, and I have been making the switch to more natural products, which has helped some. As far as coverage goes, Larenim provides a light buildable coverage, pretty much like any mineral powder foundation (I have tried many, including bare minerals and all the ones at the local pharmacy). Anyways, because of the ingredients and the comparable coverage, I would rate Larenim 5 stars; however, I have had a difficult time finding the right color for my skin tone (hence the 4 starts). I am part Native American (small part), but I have kind of an olive-red undertone to my skin, very few companies make something that works for me. Originally, I was using 4-wm throughout the summer but it never really matched exactly, it was like it was the right darkness but too brown--hard to explain. So I bought 3-wm thinking the other was too dark. 3-wm was a little too light for me so I would use the 3-wm as a concealer then do an all over layer with the same. I would then do another layer with the 4-wm, especially in the places the sun would naturally hit. This worked well, and it was not too thick because like I said they provide a light buildable coverage. When I ran out of both (they lasted a long time for me), I decided to try 4-w, which is the loose version. I had read a review that said it was more yellow than 4-wm. I was hoping this would work better for me than the original. I have not tried it yet... so we'll see. I will point out that there are less ingredients in the loose powder and no dimethicone, which I believe the pressed may still contain? Just a thought if that stuff is important to you.

I love it, it was a bit darker than I expected, as I should have known. I have very pale skin, but even so, it looks natural and very easy to apply. I love their loose powder too. Doesn't cause irritation and doesn't break me out. Really covers well so you can use a brush if you want a lighter coverage.I think next time I'll try a shade lighter

I am thankful to all the other Amazon customers who leave feedback as it really helps when you are shopping virtually for things like makeup. I have tried multiple mineral powder foundations in the past including Mineral Wear (always loose powder) I wanted to try something new and boy am I glad I did. This powder gives a perfect amount of coverage without being pastie, it gives a airbrush like finish which I have not experienced with mineral powder before. I am prone to moderate breakouts but with this powder I have noticed an improvement in my complexion. I have been using daily for three months now and I am only half way though so it lasts a while. The staying power is also impressive, I only apply in the morning and it wears well all day.
