Arrived very quickly, delivered by courier on a Sunday, excellent service.Very easy for one person to put together, screw holes predrilled on insertion side, receiving side not predrilled so you can adjust pieces to fit snuggly, if that makes sense. Wood is very soft so I'll be treating annually and may lift off the ground slightly so it doesn't sit in the wet during winter, or even summer.... etc.I made mistake of putting together in the evening in fading light, bad move, as I didn't notice (or look for) holes for two wing nuts to screw into, which are on the OUTSIDE with sliding metal pieces (photo shows a different method of holding lid up), so I got the two sides inside out & had to take to pieces & redo.Quite sturdy when put together, four metal pieces screwed onto on each corner underneath keep it rigid. Suggest putting these on before attaching lid as it has to be turned upside down, instructions say to put these on last. Only thing that may be needed is clip to fasten lid down in windy weather, tho so far not a problem. All screws packaged in separate plastic bags with spare of each screwGood purchase, wouldn't pay more for it as wood very light weight.

Attractive and easy to put together cold frame. If you have foxes like me then it's too flimsy to withstand them jumping on it, sadly. But if this isn't an issue then go for it!

It's a little overpriced at £50 and pretty flimsy so needs to be carefully assembled.Quality control is clearly a problem as mine had a couple of pieces machined the wrong way round so I had to bore out a few holes so that the dowels were able to slot in place. I also gave it a couple of coats of decking oil to hopefully prolong the life of the frame.I'll probably need another soon but I'll just buy the materials for a lot less and it'll be stronger, cheaper and with not too much more effort involved.

Would recommend this product to everyone who is looking for a cold frame. The plants are flourishing considering it has only been a couple of weeks. Easy to assemble, when finished it may look a little thin and delicate, but does it job well. I have plenty of high winds where I live and it has weathered them well. Worth its money.

This cold frame is lovely. My son said it went together quite easily and he has even fitted a base for me. It lives up to all expectations and stands proudly expecting to befilled with bedding plants when they are large enough to put out. Well done Spear and Jackson and thank you.

Lightweight put together quickly. Needs help to do that. Easily taken apart when I found that I had confused the 'hinged' bracket that opens it. The arms go on the OUTSIDE!.Comes coated, but best to give it another one. Good idea to have bracket to fasten it to the ground as it is lightweight and could blow away. I fastened it to a solid base, and then to two runners to keep it off the ground. It looks neat and I am very happy with it. I used a voucher given as a gift, as well as some of my cash, otherwise I felt that the price was chunky.

Easy to assemble and made of quality wood.

I'd purchased an aluminum & polycarbonate coldframe that i'd assembled last year & it helped me withpropgating vegetable, flower seeding but it didn't survive the year. This purchase certaily seems to be able tosurvive this year. My only criticism is that the drawings supplied could do with revising to show in more detail how the side panel should be placed.
