Safety 1st Multi Purpose Lock

Great product for use on my oven to stop toddler from opening door while on. I did find information about use on this household appliance very contradicting from searching online/Amazon but it did say ok to use on ovens as well as on packaging having picture of an oven so I purchased. However reading the instructions it says not suitable for ovens so overall very confusing, but I decided to try it out anyway (other oven deigns no good for my oven as dials and buttons in way for them to work correctly). I'm so glad I did its been on for a few months now and does the job perfectly, and for whatever reason in the future I need a new one will def get this one again.

The easiest lock we have purchased. Really easy to install and to use. We have used it on a tall mirrored cabinet so I can't comment on how well it would stick on other surfaces. It's a nice simple design so doesn't look bad either or ruin the look of the cabinet.When installing it on something tall don't put it too high though, we put ours at our eye level which means you can pull the door open just enough at the bottom to get little finger caught behind the door. This would only be a problem on tall cupboards and wouldn't be an issue if it was fitted lower down. Perhaps I should have realised this!

strapping can be faffy, but stops my 18 month old getting in to things she shouldn't so spot on,... stops me and my husband getting in to places too a lot, much muttering at the fridge door.Also the review that mentions the parts have to remain open in transit,.. it is true once they are locked they are a nightmare to open again, but a bit of brute force and a standard dinner knife (as long as you have a decent one) will pry them open again)

Probably works well for its intended purpose holding 2 doors together to stop kids getting in.It's easy enough to undo for an adult.I tried to used it to lock a fridge door shut with slight compression on the seal. The foam stick on pads were not strong enough to keep compression on a seal, so I removed and superglued and it does work.Can't mark down too much as I'm not using it for its intended purpose.

These are great I have bought them for all my kitchen drawers and bedroom drawers and work perfectly, you just peel the sticker off and press firmly for a few seconds and they stay. I have had them for a year now and are still holding. I have even put one on my oven to stop my 19 month old opening it and it holds extremely well. Bargain for the price.

Well, the flexible bit of this lock broke after just few weeks. I now need to rip the whole thing off and replace it. It's very annoying.Update: April 16. Every single one of these broke now (we had 5). We 'lost' the last one yesterday. This product is ABSOLUTE RUBBISH quality! If you're intending to place these on cupboard that are in frequent use (such as kitchen) look for another product. I will have to now.

We've had this a year now and it's still stuck firm and doing its job of keeping my 2 (nearly 3) year old out of the freezer. I can see it lasting as long as the freezer itself which is good as his younger brother is now trying to break in too. The opening mechanism is straightforward but tough enough to stop little hands from figuring it out. Really happy with this product after wasting money on two other locks that fell off straightaway. As long as you follow the instructions it should last a long time.

These are good but I wish they were more durable. I bought a few of these to prevent my toddler to open wardrobes and cabinets and they serve their purpose well. One of the locks broke after a few months use, even though it was out of my kid's reach. Overall it's a good buy.
