Mio MiVue 766 WiFi Touchscreen - Full HD 1080p In Car Dash Cam and DVR

Bought this in December 2017. In June 2018 the screen went blank when it was in use and I no longer had the clock or my speed showing via GPS - everything else worked fine and it still recorded everything.I contacted the company via email and we swapped emails for a day or two and it was unable to be fixed so I posted it back with all the info required on a Wednesday and the following Monday it arrived back in perfect working order with full details of what they did which invloved a new motherboard.Excellent service and a great product. The ability to see your speed in mph or kph without taking your eyes off the road is a great benefit especially when driving abroad!

The product itself works fine. but I wasn't able to carry out firmware/software update. After contacting manufacturer, the issue turns out to be incompatibility with SanDisk Ultra/Extreme SD cards. Granted it's down to consumers whether to buy specific SD card for this device but special requirement needs to be in product description. Disappointed as the manufacturer did not add in a list of compatible SD card to their website until I spoke with them. Ironically Amazon still bundle this item with SanDisk Ultra card!

Product at first seem fine. Switched it on and began to set it up but could not connect to Wi-Fi so decided to register item and was prompted to download software to laptop. I then plugged in dash cam all good on removing dash cam. Cam had message saying updating then installing once that was done the screen when black and would not come back on again only a little green light i tryed connecting in the car and switching engine on but no good ,had to return it.

Small, neat and looks very well made. I tested it out on my workbench first and it all came together very well and very easily. Quality of the recordings are very good and setting up the camera was easy. I shall be incorporating this into a bigger security project for my car - I have the rear view camera and together it is all a breeze to put it all together.

Great piece of kit, everything seems to work as it should after two months use. I had trouble downloading files from the camera to the computer but downloading from the card is fine, but that may just be me, however the image is good enough, although night shots don’t seem as good as other cameras I have seen, but certainly adequate for the job. I agree with other uses the cable is thick and clumsy, so I need to purchase thinner alternatives. But as I am hard wiring in, I was expecting extra costs, after two months it seems fine, any minor hiccups more related to user than camera. I have confidence enough with the system to purchase the rear camera now as this is where we have been hit twice while parked to save paying any excess in future. Fit for job at present, watch this space.

Cute and packed with features. Shame that there is no SD card or USB cable included. The positioning of the cable because of the location of the plug is not tidy prone. The night video recording not very sharp.It is OK for the price though

I had a nextbase before this and the Mio is so much better. I really like the included gps camera locations. It saved me from a getting a speeding ticket a few times. The camera is very sharp and I can finally read number plates on the video even at night. The wifi works great with the app and transferring the videos is very easy. One thing I would recommend is getting the hardwire kit as the baterry doesn't last very long if you want to leave the camera on during night.

This was to replace a Mio 538...it's power supply failed. Wish I'd kept the 538 as the 766 picture is awful! Definitely a poor quality lens...picture has fringing, number plates and road signs blurred and impossible to read. Needless to say, I've returned for refund.

Clarity of the camera is fine. Night visibility is also fine. Adas feature is good but no pedestrian warning available. Samsung 128gb EVO sd card is working.Facebook stream do not work as advertised. No compatible rear view camera A20 or A30 available in indian market. Importing footage to mobile worked only once and not working afterwards. Have to take out sd card to transfer to PC. Seems i should have gone another brand with this feature. Not a good buy.
