I recently purchased the Russell Hobbs RHEM2301B microwave and I couldn't be happier with its performance.First and foremost, the simplicity of this microwave is what sets it apart. With just two power settings for defrosting and cooking, it makes meal preparation a breeze. I no longer have to fumble through a complicated array of buttons; the straightforward interface makes it incredibly easy to use. Even my elderly father-in-law can confidently operate it without any assistance.I love the absence of a turntable, not having to deal with a rotating plate not only saves time and effort but also provides ample space to accommodate larger dishes. Cleaning is very easy. Without the turntable, I can effortlessly wipe down the flatbed interior, ensuring a spotless microwave after every use.The 23L capacity of the Russell Hobbs RHEM2301B is perfect for our family's needs. Whether it's reheating leftovers, defrosting frozen foods, or cooking a quick meal, this microwave handles it all with ease. It can accommodate large dishes, making it an ideal choice for families or even when entertaining guests.The digital display is clear and user-friendly, allowing me to adjust cooking times and power levels with precision. Absolutely brilliant! Easy to use controls. Would be ideal for someone with dexterity issues. You just have to push a button. Heats food very fast and evenly. No lukewarm spots on food. Very easy to clean. Looks great in the kitchen.

I bought it at the start of lockdown 1 after my old one broke, I was excited to discover flatbed microwaves exist, this one is ‘back to basics’ with it’s 4 control functions. It would be great if you are someone whose head spins with all the multifunction machines that have been available over the years! There isn’t even a clock to set, just plug in and go!So much easier to keep clean than one with a turntable plate and wheeled support! Remember to wipe any spills immediately and the finish will stay looking new!The cavity is big and will hold large rectangular dishes if you so choose! No more rotation that doesn’t quite work 😂 with odd dish sizes!The control buttons are simplistic, the top ‘microwave’ is full power 800 watt cooking in 30 second increments with each button press up to 5 mins, then 1 minute increments and you can add time even while it’s cooking.Second button down is ‘defrost’ in the same increments and the defrost function is 40% power.The next button down from the top is Stop/Cancel which is self explanatory! Press once to stop cooking, press again to cancel the remaining time on the screen.The last button ’Start’ is pressed to start the cooking after the time has been set (microwave or defrost) then the time remaining counts down.When it finishes it emits 5 long loud beeps, if you don’t return to it immediately it gives a short beep at intervals of 2 minutes, for ten minutes after it’s finished.It doesn’t have a clock which took some getting used to after relying on my past microwave as the kitchen clock but I’m accustomed to it now.Also the display lights go out in standby mode when not in use so it’s energy saving too!

But it's very lightweight, which means when opening the door, which you must do by pulling the door handle the microwave will move around on the counter top. I have taken to sticking it down using double sided tape. Also once I have finish using the microwave I wipe the inside dry to stop any steam/condensation build up which will inevitably lead to rust.Having said that it is a good flatbed microwave that doesn't use a turntable. It defrosts food too. I would recommend to those who want a "known brand" microwave simple to use and pleasing to the eye.

This thing is cavernous and the best thing about it is that you can put in a large rectangular casserole dish to reheat the lot with no problems.No turntable means you can use all the floor space in the thing and no lids catch the walls and fall off halfway through cooking.I was worried that, say, the corners wouldn't get touched by the microwaves, but they bounce around all over the shop and it does a grand job.Turn the dish halfway through cooking and you're set.Much easier to clean than my last one too and looks all "stealth bomber" inside.Really simple controls too, press one button for increments of 30 seconds or another button for increments of 30 seconds of full power.I love it.

excellent, VERY simple to use,no clock no fuss.check that the size is ok for you.I live on my own so it's ok as I have enough space but might be slightly on the large size for somebetter than too small I'd say

what could be simpler, 4 Buttons, easy to understand and use, this is simple and effective, without all the complicated programs, its on or off, cooking or defrosting, so simple its great to use. its weird not seeing things go around as in a conventional microwave as there is no turntable, so no glass to clean or break! Easy clean, easy to use, this is a great microwave, a useful size for family (we are 4) we can put in rectangular dishes not just round bowls or plates, its a dream to use,, even teenagers get this! at 800W the power is good too.hope it lasts a long time 😊
