Judging by the amount of purchases, this part must break often! I have a 4 month old Maytag and the latch just snapped. Lucky to find this one. You can replace without any tools nor disassembly. Gonna buy a spare!

I have a Maytag washer, model MVW6200KW2, this part fit perfectly. The original broke while washer was still under warranty but found this replacement part & figured it would be easy, affordable & quick fix & I was right! Installs in seconds & washer is working again. No need to sit around and wait for a repair technician!Edit: This one broke too, in less than 3 months. Prob just a crappy design on Maytag in the first place, but replacing this could get expensive a couple times a year

When I received this part I was happy the quality, it slipped right in!

Bought a *brand new Maytag washer/dryer combo & within the 1st week, a piece of clothing got caught on the latch while moving them to the dryer; broke it right off... Worth a mention that for a several thousand $ set, you'd think they'd make the exposed latch out of something more durable, or at least thicken the design, because after looking at it, I felt it'd just spontaneously break.This happened right before the 4th of July (right before my family would leave for vacation) & my warranty team said they wouldn't be able to get me a replacement til after we would've left. Luckily Amazon came through & I was back in business a couple days later, as opposed to over a week later. Allowed us to get all our clothes washed for the trip.
