Remington XR1450 Hyperflex Aqua Plus Rotary Electric Shaver - Black/Blue

I have used Philips shavers for a number of years but I though I would have a change and try the Remington brand.Firstly the shave is very close and doesn't rip up your face as the hairs adjust to the new cutting patterns of the flexible head.The flexible head is great for following the contours of four face and chin and allows you to bet an effortless shave.It fairly quiet in operation. Charging is straightforward using the supplied cradle.I used to get over three weeks with the Philips machines and it looks like this one might just last a little longer.It is designed to be fully waterproof but I haven't tried it in the shower.The head/cutter chamber is a little smaller than on the Philips so emptying it is required more often. A quick brush out with the supplied brush is all that is needed.In summary it has a good ergonomic feel, provides a pleasant shaving experience and well worth the expense

Bought for my Husband to replace a Philishave which was about five years old. The fact it has a docking station to recharge the shaver in really swung it for us. Normally the shave has to be left laying down on a worktop - very cluttering. It gives a good clean and close shave and the flexible heads are brilliant. He knows exactly how much charge is left by the indicator light. An excellent shaver for the price. Definitely recommend.

Had this shaver for 3 months. Initially it gave a very clean and close shave, as good as my old Philishave that eventually failed after many years of reliable service. However I have noticed during recent weeks that the quality of shave has gradually deteriorated and it takes longer to shave. It now sometimes appears to 'pinch' as if the cutter blades are becoming increasingly blunt, My old Philishave blades would last around 2 years before this happened, but it seems that this Remington's blades are showing signs of blunting after just 3 months. The shaver body is fine, but I think there is a quality issue with the cutter blades. They should give at least 12 months of service, so these are therefore, in my opinion, not fit for purpose.A new remington XR1450 cutter head will cost me around £35, so if cutter blades only last 3 months, it will make it a very expensive shaver to own !!

The Remington XR1450 Hyperflex Aqua Plus Rotary Shaver comes ready to go out of the box - just needs a quick top up on charge. This doesn't take very long at all, and I am very impressed with battery life. Couldn't say exactly but at least 6 shaves before I had to charge again. (Would obviously differ for each person etc) the trimming function is useful, and my skin isn't irritated after use, a very clean finish. I prefer using it dry although it can do both - only very light pressure is needed, and it is good on contours of the face as it can flex slightly. Some areas are still hard to get at, ie corner of jaw-line, but strays can be dealt with with the trimmer function. it is very useful that it is waterproof - adds an extra layer of versatility. Seems a very well built product and also easy to clean and maintain. A little on the pricey side but a good product nonetheless. 4-4.5 stars.

Probably the best shaver I have had. Though it took a few weeks for my skin to adjust, the wait was worth it and patience was rewarded. The cutters do a good job. The battery pack charges quickly. I have not timed how long it takes to totally discharge when in used. Recommended

Effortlessly gives a very clean shave, but I've only had it 6 months and already the casing has started splitting around the on/off button, and the trimmer is broken. When working, the trimmer was very good, but I pressed the trimmer button the other day and the trimmer jumped out in my face.... meaning I now need a replacement shaver... but I certainly won't be buying this one again.

My old one was in need of new cutters. The cost was almost as much as a new one in the shop's. This is an excellent shavers and the Amazon price was actually lower th a new cutters .

Having only ever wet shaved I decided to give this a go. I'm really impressed by how close a shave you get,didn't think it would be as good as wet shaving but there really isn't much difference. So glad I changed to this as you can be clean-shaven in half the time
