Q: would this bracket hold a 24 inch led tv on the cupboardwall of a caravan as i think the wall is very thin,or does it need a metal plate to hold it on

I have a 21" screen on my Motorhome wall (thin like yours) and used some 'no more nails' as well as screws and it is very firm and has travelled quite a bit with no problems. Hope this helps.

Q: The arms are loose and swing around. How do I tighten them?

take the plastic covers off which exposes the nuts on the joins then tighten each arm until you get the right tension then pop the covers back on

Q: Can you buy the vesa mounting plate separately? we have the bracket is in situ, but the quick release vesa plate is missing.

yes you can buy the plte that screws to back of TV on ebay last time I looked they were around £12 they might still do them on Amazon or Aliexpress
