Great learning aid for preschoolers
This is a great, easy way to teach children secondary colours. I like how it makes it logical to understand, as you can place the lenses half on top of one another to see the result. I find the lenses scratched easily (mostly played with by 2 boisterous boys - 3 and 1), but this does not affect play at all.The 3-year-old gets the most enjoyment from this right now. He loves to mix the colours and see the results and he must wander around with it to his eye checking the colour everything has gone.It is very sturdy and chunky - the perfect size for small hands, and we have been dissecting colours as well as mixing - something not so easily done with paint! I find it hard to imagine they would get bored of this for a while. The older children also love to play with it (oldest being 8), so I'm sure it will feature in a lot of games and playtimes for years to come! All in all, I am very pleased with this purchase at a very reasonable price and have very quickly noticed a huge improvement in my 3-year-old's understanding of primary and secondary colours. Definitely worth the money.

Love this. My 4 year old son mostly uses it in the back of the car to keep him entertained (although that might not be the best idea because he does drop them, and have to wait for me to stop the car to find them again). It is a super way to learn all about the colour wheel.

Bigger than expected
I like it. It was bigger than expected, so the lenses are not intechangeable with the glasses they also sell. The colour mixing is easier to see if you hold it with the lighter colour in front rather than the darker colour.

Good size
Happy with the size, slot for each colour, my almost 3y old spent half the morning playing with it. Planning to have it as a toy for car rides.

Great product
So simple yet so effective. The children had fun learning about colours and creating secondary colours. Worked well with the book monsters love colours.

Colour recognition
Terrific, my two year old loves wandering around looking at the world through different colours, great for colour recognition. I also recommend the book "Mouse Paint" by Ellen Stoll Walsh. Painting with primary colours is also a good learning tool.

Educational and Creative at the same time
My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter goes to a Montessori school where a child learns through experimentation. And this is a perfect activity for a child to experiment and learn from. I gave her this easy to hold and manipulate 'toy' and she stood at the window and changed the colour, seeing the world in different colours. She still does this. I showed her how to combine the colours (yellow and red for example) to make another colour, orange. She is just catching on to that as she approaches 3. This would be best for an older preschooler but my young granddaughter enjoys it, too. Even a 1 year old could learn to identify colours and through this activity, change his or her whole world making it different colours.

Deludente
Decisamente deludente. Troppo delicato per essere maneggiato da bimbi piccoli. Le lenti non si fissano nella cornice ma cadono facilmente e si graffiano ancor più facilmente!

My 2 year old loves it
My 2 year old has a red plastic see through cup. He loves to look through it and "make everything red". So the Easter Bunny brought this. We ended up putting in the red color only and using some tape to keep it from falling out. My son throws it and it's held up perfectly! He likes holding up the other colors and looking through them as well. They scratched up pretty quickly but it doesn't bother him. Great toy from the Easter Bunny!
