Vtech 504603 Toot-Toot Animals Adventure Safari

Lovely item, connects to other toot toot.Not easy to put together once taken apart so had to refer to the internet.

Looks great, lots of lovely sounds, fairly easy to put together but the instructions are a bit rubbish you are better off looking at the picture on the box for help. The 'support' for the blue slide doesn't fit whatsoever and is pointless, and a few parts come apart far too easily for the age group this is aimed at. If it were sturdier I would give it 5 stars but I am constantly putting it back together just from normal gentle play.

We own 11 vtech toys - 5 of which have failed electronically in under a year. Those seemed great quality initially and were well loved before they failed. This however is poorly constructed - the slides keep falling down as the supports don't stay in properly and the zip line falls out with the gentlest touch so cannot be enjoyed in the intended way. Returning for a refund.

We are huge fans of toot toot in our house, we have the train set, super city and the construction site. I bought the toot toot animals set for Christmas and the quality is shocking. The set falls apart constantly to the point one of my kids stopped playing with it out if frustration. I am so thankful I didn't pay full price but even at 30 pounds it was still a waste of money. This set is made for younger children yet cant stand up to the task of being played with.

My 16 month old does like this toys so a star up from 2 stars but I'm not enthused to buy any more in the range. It's thin plastic and not overly stable - the monkey ramp keeps falling off where it meets the tree top. The instructions are faint black and white and laughable. I constructed it from the box picture in the end. I was left with 2 dark brown bits which go at the back of the tree I eventually discovered. The stickers are also one star as they are thin and cheap. Despite being ultra careful one of the big giraffe ones ripped and there are folds in others I have applied. I'm a 20 year expert in Lego and Sylvanian stickers but these are nasty. The figures are a bit lightweight and not that attractive. It's also very big when constructed so a storage headache.

A large Toot-Toot set from Vtech that easily adds to the other track ranges but this time with the roly poly animals as well as just one Smart Monkey.It's a great activity set with slide and slip wire and tumble tunnel that does require some manual labour to put together easily enough.Kids love Toots but if you are going to add to this it all soon stacks up in cost but at least this set is good enough as a stand alone and allows imagination to flourish.A neat and fun addition to the range.
