VTech 504603 Toot-Toot Animals Adventure Safari

Looks great, lots of lovely sounds, fairly easy to put together but the instructions are a bit rubbish you are better off looking at the picture on the box for help. The 'support' for the blue slide doesn't fit whatsoever and is pointless, and a few parts come apart far too easily for the age group this is aimed at. If it were sturdier I would give it 5 stars but I am constantly putting it back together just from normal gentle play.

We own 11 vtech toys - 5 of which have failed electronically in under a year. Those seemed great quality initially and were well loved before they failed. This however is poorly constructed - the slides keep falling down as the supports don't stay in properly and the zip line falls out with the gentlest touch so cannot be enjoyed in the intended way. Returning for a refund.

Lovely item, connects to other toot toot.Not easy to put together once taken apart so had to refer to the internet.

Love the other toot toot sets. Usually great quality and take the inevitable battering a child will give them. This however is flimsy and has not been played with at all since we brought it for our son for Christmas. Very disappointing. Look at the toot toot garage instead, much better.

This is the second Toot Toot Animals toy that we have had in our home as we recently got the  Toot Toot Animals Boat  for my daughter to play with. I'm not completely familiar with the Animals range but I can confirm that over the last few years my Husband and I have spent a small fortune on their Toot Toot Drivers range as my son was Toot Toot mad when he was a little bit younger (he still likes to play with the multiple car, train, plane, construction, fire and police Toot Toot sets he has but he has almost grown out of them now).My daughter is well within the target age range for this Adventure Safari set and she absolutely adores the little animals and larger Monkey.The set comes with 6 small Roly-Poly Animals (Elephant, Tiger, Hippo, Lion, Alligator and Zebra) and also a larger Smart Point Monkey. As the name suggests the Roly-Poly Animals have rounded bottoms to help them roll and move. Although the set's box also shows a SmartPoint Cheetah and Donkey, I can confirm that they are not included and you would need to buy these separately if wished. Obviously it is nice that this set comes with a Smart Point animal as the boat set did not but I don't think other bits that don't come with the set should be on the box pictures as my daughter was a little disappointed that they weren't in the box.The set is fun and has lots of features including 6 Smart Point locations which make the Smart Point Monkey say different things. The Roly-Poly animals are cute and can be dropped through two holes in the mountain and tree along with taking them for a ride on the zip line which is my daughters favourite bit of the set.My daughter loves this set and although the recommended age advises 1-5 years old I would personally think that 4 years old would be the maximum play age.As with all of the Vtech toys we have had over the last few years the Adventure Safari set is very bright and colourful and most importantly fun and educational too.
