Hi! it said material type stainless steel. the one ive got it plastic. anyone alse the same ?

Are you sure it's plastic? To me it feels like a very lightweight metal, aluminium, perhaps. It's tricky because it has a plastic feel but is far too cold to be plastic. Does it really matter? This compass works excellently.

Can you attach the universal adapter onto the extension bar, so that you can use a pen at greater radius?

You can use the pen adapter at greater radius, but not in the way you suggest. The extension bar has a metal point (i.e. the centre of the circle) and attaches to one leg of the compasses. The universal adapter would be attached to the other leg of the compasses. So pens can be used for large circles, just not in the way you asked.
