I'm impressed for the price
Installed in my van. I'm impressed. Good audio, decent receive. Some good reports on tx audio too. Mini buttons turns on or off squelch but can also change squelch level in settings. The dual display will only receive one band at a time depending on which you have selected which is a bit odd as why bother displaying the other. It does make it easy to switch between them though with just one button press on the radio or microphone. The mic is good and has lots of functions also allowing direct frequency input. The radio is tiny so easily fits in the van. My only gripe is when trying to scan through freq or channels quickly using the knob it misses some of the turns so sometimes stays on that freq of you're too quick. Best way is to use the mic which allows you to press and hold up or down to move channels faster. With circa 25w high and 10w low it's great. I obly needed the instruction to kmow what the menu acronyms were otherwise its fairly easy to use. Recommended

A great little radio for the money
For what it costs, and what I wanted it for, I cannot fault this radio. It's used for monitoring local repeaters while I'm out and about (mainly commuting) with a small s/s whip on a mag-mount, and the only time it struggles is when I'm amongst the tall concrete structures in the city centre. I bought this after first buying a Retevis RT-95 as it fits nicely in the little "change tray" in the centre console of my car, and it also has a separate volume control. It comes with its own data cable and is easily programmed via Chirp. I'm also hoping to take this little radio out into the field and using it with a slim-jim up the obligatory "roach pole".

Incomplete instruction manual!!!
Great radio but I spent hours of frustration trying to program in repeaters. There is a missing step not covered in the manual. Eventually I went on YouTube and found the answer. When you save a repeater to memory having specified the shift and + or - you would think that is correct. But NO!!!!!!! You have to enter the transmit frequency manually and SAVE again. Otherwise the tx and Rx frequencies will be the same!!!!!!!
