Soehnle Body Balance Active Shape Digital Body Analysis Bathroom Scale

This was bought to replace a fancy Philips ‘bells and whistles’ set of bathroom scales that was supposed to Bluetooth results to my phone and hardly ever did. This balance displays the results and therefore I get the results every time and don’t have to rely on connections or handshake protocols being compatible.Results are consistent for weight, body fat % and % body water however my feet have to be moist to give anything other than random numbers for the muscle mass reading (as recommended by the instruction). I don’t know how accurate these readings are but they are certainly repeatable within acceptable limits.

The weight reading on the scales is really consistent, and seems accurate, however the body analysis stats can vary a little bit. This is based on doing repeated measurements directly after each other. Weight will remain the same, but the percentages for fat, water, and muscle can vary by as much as 1%.

I bought this when I first started going to the gym and I'm really glad that I opted for a scale with body analysis features as although I haven't lost weight I have lost fat and gained muscle - this is reflected both in my results on the scale and in the mirror. I especially like the fact that you can program in profiles for multiple users and the scale automatically selects the correct users when they stand on the scale - this is really useful and now have my boyfriend and friends set up so that they can use it when they come over.

It is easy to use and it gives a very precise measurement. The negative point is that I can't record my baby in it, the person has to be minimum 20 years old.. :(

Great quality scale, more consistent than my glass Salter one which gives diet readings that are obviously inaccurate.

ive had these a while and although i get used to their strange ways i am now a bit sick of getting 3 different readings within ten minutes.. looking for something better.

Seems ok. Weight accurate and consistent. No idea about the water or muscle I'm very sceptical and don't really use those features.
