Worth its price, but too small size :)
It is amazing! It is outstanding and cuts the mustard!!!! It is worth its price. Light, small, reuseable !I was two hours inside, outside it was 7 C. No probelm !The worst is the size !!!It is rather for my wife and kids - not for me ( 181 cm/105 kg) !I'll buy two more asap.

Versatile kit.
Acts a sleeping bag and food for temps to about 10C. After that you'll need to wear clothing too. Wind and water proof so can be used as a bivi or to add warmth to a sleeping bag and keep water off the bag as well. Easy to get in and out of. Good for taking with you as an emergency bivi when hill walking - far lighter, far warmer and much more breathable than a plastic survival bag.

Brilliant safety addition to your rucksack or for ultra-lightweight trips
Excellent product. This bag seems so light and thin - with an almost paper-like quality - I was frightened I would tear it. Used on its own it is warm and wind proof. When used with a thin cotton sleeping bag liner or Fleece sleeper inside it is extremely warm. If there is a tiny criticism (hence the 4 stars) it's that the bag needs to be wider at the shoulders and 10 cms longer. A great buy.

Blows conventional bivvies out of the water!
Although there are a couple of similar products out there such as the 2 Go Systems Trifecta, they are made by small manufactures and thus are usually on back order and are a little more expensive. Although I liked the features of the Trifecta, I wanted a new bivvy in a hurry. In comes the SOL escape bivvy. In comparison to other bivvies, this blows them out of the water. There is no conventional bivvy that I am aware of that offers the same insulating properties, breathability, water resistance and weight for the price, or any price for that matter. I have had a gore tex bivvy that I have used for years (the zipper finally broke) and although it is great, it weighs 4x more than this product and takes up more than double the space in my pack. I doubt this will be as durable as my gore tex bivvy, but seeing as it is very well constructed and the fact that I use a ground sheet, I see this product lasting quite a few seasons. So far I have only spent 2 nights in this bivvy. I was in the mountainous region of Geres in Portugal. I used a 3 x 3m tarp, an old thermarest trail lite, a plastic ground sheet, a 10 degree C bag and a merino wool top and long johns and wool socks. It rained moderately heavy both nights and I didn't notice any condensation in the bivvy. Despite the forecast stating it went down to 4 degrees, I stayed warm all night. Mind you, I had a small fire that probably lasted halfway through the night. All in all, I believe this bivvy would add 5-10 degrees to your sleeping bag, which is much better than a conventional bivvy. From what I have seen thus far, if and when this bivvy wears out, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a new one. Highly recommended.

Great piece of kit for hiking and camping
I put my sleeping bag inside this lightweight bivvy bag for the duration of a recent 3-week hike/camp. It added warmth and ensured my sleeping bag stayed dry whether it was in my rucksack in pouring rain, or on the floor of the tent. My only slight moan would be the width - it could do with being a tad wider.

Packable bivvy with some real warmth
I used this on a bivvy trip for 2 nights in the highlands of Scotland in May - my first time using a bivvy bag as part of my sleep system under a tarp. Temperature was ~2C overnight (including snow).Combined with a good down sleeping bag and decent inflatable sleep mat, this helped keep me warm with a reflective inner surface, but without my expected moisture/condensation problem, as it is made from a breathable fabric.I would note that the fabric is quite noisy/crinkly. This did not bother me as I had good earplugs, but companions on any trip may find it disturbing during the night. It is a mummy shaped bag and it is (relatively) close fitting. If you're on the larger side (>185cm >110kg) then you definitely want to check how this will work with the other elements of your sleep system. The bag comes out of it's storage all neatly rolled up - I just stuffed it back in again and, while it was a squeeze, it went back in okay.A good bit of kit.

Light easy to store
I find this sleeping bag very useful. It does seem strange sleeping in a type of mailbag, but it does keep you warm. In extreme conditions you may need to ware some extra clothing in it. If you are taller than 6 foot you may find it hard to fit in. Like wise if you are a fairly large person you may also struggle to fit.

Bought this for a 15 day camping/hiking trip to North ...
Bought this for a 15 day camping/hiking trip to North Wales in early May - wanted to keep weight to a bare minimum as I also had my English Springer Spaniel with me. Only got a 4 stars due to...pro...1. Despite being heat reflective you need the heat there to reflect. I had to pop a hand/pocket warmer thingy into the foot box of the bivvy to build up the heat to keep my feet warm all night (despite wearing pure wool socks).....2.The zip (RHS) is far too short. On several occasions I had to get up for an 'Emergency Pee' and nearly didn't make it as I was fighting to get out of the bivvy.....con...1. Appears to have withstood my ESS 'making' her bed (when my back was turned) - no rips or tears from her claws.....Despite other reviews I found you don't have to carefully fold it back up to put it in the sack - I just stuffed it back into its bag, and found this helped alleviate the rustle sounds when I turned at night, the paper softened but it did not loose any of its effectiveness..................

Small and valuable
Fits in my pack easily, material seems durable and is light weight. Great addition to your sleep system in the event you find yourself outside on a cold night .Provides peace of mind on fall hunting trips here in Canada. Only downside is material is rather noisy when inside it .
