Master 200 workbench - Good value for money
Arrived quickly. On opening the box everything is neatly packed. First thing was to check off all the contents to ensure everything was there. Then a quick look through the instructions to get the order of things, then just follow the steps logically. Assembly was relatatively straightforward and took about 45 mins. Yes, some of the diagrams could have been clearer but it wasn't too difficult to work out what fixed to what, using a little bit of common sense.Assembled and with all nuts fully tightened, the workbench is pretty sturdy but don't expect it to be like the B&D workmates of old. They were factory assembled, very sturdy and with the table made of multiple layers of ply, rather than a bit of thick mdf and some thin pressed steel. However, for the light use it will have from me, it will suffice amply and frankly, at £31 you can't expect cast iron!I note that on Screwfix it is trade rated and also £20 more!

Highly recommended
This is a very solid work table, yes it took a while to assemble, but with a bit of logic it goes together really well. I had to deal with customer services in Germany…. what an amazing, helpful, knowledgable member of the staff who was so genuine it’s what English customer services should base their departments on. I wanted a spare ‘shake proof washer’…..she found the right part number and put a pin plus two of the washers in the post, no charge and had double checked with the tech services team that it was the correct part. Amazing. Would highly recommend this work table, it’s a solid piece of kit.

Built and ready for use
Firstly, it arrived nice and quick and around Christmas as well!!Anyway, on to the product:After reading the reviews I was a bit sceptical about how easy it would be to build this thing. It turned out to be quite easy, although the nuts and (Phillips headed) bolts that hold the two screwing arms onto the legs are a bit more fiddly than they probably need to be.I didn't time how long it took me to built it (I'd guess around 1 hour), but I had no problem with the instructions. I can see how some would get confused with the exploded diagrams. Having a socket set, a set of crescent spanners [wrenches] and a good chunky Phillips screw driver would be handy. I managed just fine with a big crappy adjustable spanner, some sockets and a screwdriver. Crescent spanners would have made the fiddly bit I mentioned above a lot less fiddly. From memory the nuts are 10mm and 13mm.I was a bit forceful with the handles that "lock" the folding mechanism and the pressed steel holding rails have bent a bit out. My own stupid fault really, I'll just bend them back in and be more gentle in future. I'd like to stress, this was completely my fault. To explain a bit more: there are two parallel bits of pressed steel out of the frame that hold the bolt head that the handles for "locking" the folding mechanism spin on (to hold them so they don't just spin and spin, so the folding mechanism is "locked".) I hope that makes sense. It seems solid enough, but at the moment I've not had a chance to test it out. It's a good weight which makes me feel confident that it will be nice and sturdy enough when using it.The "dogs" (the clip in bits to hold pieces with) fit snugly while not being too tight to remove them. The screw arms operate separately and the handles feel well made and plenty sturdy enough. The folding mechanism has a groove in the top of the A frame that it slots into with a good sturdy "clunk" that is reassuring.Even though I've not put it through it's paces yet, it feels like this workbench will be accompanying me on my hobbyist DIY adventures for a good long while. If this turns out to not be the case I'll update this review.

Nightmare to build, sturdy, not easy to fold.
Is a nightmare to build with pretty average instructions and even with a spanner and electric screwdriver isn't that sturdy. Good materials and a good first bench but was expecting better. Took two hours to assemble and defo won't fold down.

Great for the DIY odd jobs.
Great bench for those who like the odd DIY jobs. Folds away neatly, and a great space saver. The frame is sturdy, no wobbles and can easily be used to set yourself up to cut lengths of wood. Cutting angles using the guides are great to hold in place. Really robust material. The only issue I have is, I forget which way the legs need to be pushed in order to fold away, so pushing the wrong way, could distort the frame. Look after it, and it will serve you well.

Does not fold flat !
Extremely fiddly to build, took about 1 hour. Instructions, not the best. Relatively stable once assembled. Biggest issue is it does not fold flat, gone back over assembly instructions several times and everything is in place, but won’t fold flat. In conclusion, very poor design, doesn’t store easily. Bad purchase, won’t be purchasing Wolfcraft again..

What a B & D workmate used to be!
Having lost my 25 year old Black and Decker workmate to my ex wife I was seeking a replacement. The current selection of Black and Deckers are flimsy and get poor write ups. I was encouraged by the reviews of the Wolfcraft but was unable to find any in the UK to actually 'put my hands on'. Finally I saw one in Spain. Solid, no plastic other than the handles, all in all a great work bench. I bought off Amazon, prompt delivery, just finished putting it together. The instructions aren't good and pliers to hold the nuts are easier than the suggested spanner. It took me about an hour. The two bags of bolts etc are for separate stages in the construction process. Its just what I wanted and looks as though it will last.ps. I've had it over a year now, still really pleased!

Sturdy trestle, quality made.
Trestle comes flat packed and is relatively easy to put together- put it together finger tight, then when together, stand upright and tighten nuts and bolts. In use it’s very strong and sturdy. Doesn’t wobble or flex! I applied a little silicone oil to the screw threads and it became a lot easier to adjust. Quite easy to lift and move around as it folds flat. A little more expensive than the competition But! I think it’s a lot better made. You get what you pay for as the saying goes. Highly recommended. About 20 mins to assemble.
