The springs are too powerful to easily operate single-handedly. The whole point of clamps like these is to apply the clamp with one hand while positioning the work with the other. If super-strong clamping action is required then screw-operated G-clamps are the appropriate tool.

Make life a heck of a lot easier these little fellas

Much bigger than I expected. Open quite wide and hold very strongly but damn, you have to really squeeze to open them at first, so you know they're heavy duty and up for whatever you need clamped

Well made little clamps. Have already used many times. The Orange / red protectors swivel and as they're quite stiff / sturdy to open this can make clamping a little difficult. Great though.

These are a very strong set of clamps. They are actually quite challenging to open with one hand, but I view that as a good thing because it means there's a lot of tension when you're clamping. Happy with them.

Rolson is a name you can trust to manufacture quality products. This product is not suitable to use to hold something together outside for sometime. The weather deteriorates the plastic housing and the clamp quite literally comes apart at speed and force.
