Bionaire Filter with Baking Soda

Original part and works well. I struggle to find an alternative that can do the job.The first filter last 8 months after a light hoovering of the dust collected every month on the intake side of the media. Second one now ordered.Note the baking soda is applied to the filter during manufacture as a solution, then dried.

Okay, it's recycled air actually - just feels like breathing in mountain fresh air. Not that I've been up any mountains... I was initially worried about this new fangled baking soda filter fitting in my old Bionaire but yes, it is compatible with the Bap242 and has the arrows on the side so you know which way it goes in. It doesn't come with the foam filter so keep hold of your original one.We used the Bionaire with the ordinary filters in another room during last year's summer so I can't really compare the two filters. However, we CAN feel the difference when using the Bionaire - smells are minimised and we have less sinus and breathing problems.

The item was as expected and fits with a bit of manouvering. Not perfect but the price was ok

These filters work well, but are expensive at £22 each. They need to be replaced rather than cleaned.

For years we have been using this as a summer fan, but the air flow has been getting less and less. One of our family has become allergic to our dog, and we were considering getting a modern day filtered blade less fan, but they are very expensive. In my search I came across replacement filters for the fan filter I already have, they were here two days after ordering from Amazon. One note while changing them, the old ones are contaminated with the allergies they have filtered out, and so is the pre-filter (the black foam sheet), so use a vacuum cleaner to clean the machine and the pre-filter (I used a duster to clean the machine, and a dustpan brush to clean the pre-filter while outside, but had a short allergic reaction to something that was filtered out in the past). I have shown a new and old filter together, and the other new filter already in the machine, the pre-filter is the black strip in the back cover shown alongside, I haven’t seen replacement pre-filters advertised anywhere, so this has to be cleaned and re-used. With the fan filter now cleaning the air in our lounge, my wife has had a better night’s sleep and her stuffy nose has gone!!!

These filters do a great job of cleaning the air in a room. You can see how much dirt they collect & therefore how much you are NOT breathing in. My partner has COPD & said it improved his breathing, even though he smokes! These filters are cheaper than many other alternatives too.

Arrived very quickly the writing is in French so not sure its the one with the baking soda but looks the same as my old one if it is then these are great keep all smells out of room and keeps nice and fresh will update when I replace with my old oneThey are difficult to get hold of recently not sure why so very pleased to have found these

Vu la Pollution actuelle sur les grandes villes, les filtres à air "pollué" deviennent indispensables.Même si le filtrage n'est pas à 100%, 99% c’est toujours mieux que rien.Je viens de les changer, ils sont...noirs! Donc très très sales!

Super, passt in meinen Luftfilter von Bionaire. Habe den ursprünglichen Filter mehrmals ausgewaschen aber so ein neuer Filter ist wesentlich besser.
