Rand McNally Easy to Read! Florida State Map

Used this for a trip to Florida. It was clear and easy to read. I used it more for trip planning rather than actual navigation as we had a GPS in the car. It was very useful and far better than the maps car hire companies sometimes provide. There is a very good level of detail should you wish to venture off main roads. The paper it is printed on it quite thin and quickly started to wear along the creases, so 4 rather than 5 stars.

Got this map as to help plan journeys in Florida. We found the information up to date and very useful to decide where we were going before switching over to the Sat Nav. Certainly you need a map to supplement using a Sat Nav and this seems to cover the whole of Florida. It does not have a lot of detail so if you are going to be in one area try and get a detailed map for your area. But if you are travelling then this should help. The paper is thin and the map has started to tear on the folds so it won't last for years but long enough for a few weeks..

This is a great map if you have a large dining room to lay it out flat on. It is rather large and is printed on pretty thin paper. So when I get to our Orlando base I only hope that they have a large flat area in the room. We will simply add the area we want to the Sat Nav the following morning ad hope for the best. If I tried to take it with us, I imagine it will look well used, torn and folded the wrong way from day one.

I bought this map for occasional use during a Florida road trip last year. I actually ended up using it more than the SatNav which often has a mind of its own and is difficult to understand exactly where you have been, where you are, or where you're heading!Its a good quality, very detailed, double sided map (South Florida on one side, North on the other). It includes detailed maps of all the main cities (eg Miami, Orlando, Key West etc). It also has tables showing mileage between main places and expected journey times which was extremely useful for planning our trip. It shows all main points of interest including tollbooths and each road has little markers along its route showing distance travelled between each marker.Was absolutely invaluable during my trip and is highly recommended for anyone planning to drive in Florida. Rely only on your SatNav at your peril...

Good detail and clear mapping.Not sure how durable it will be but should suit my purposes on 2 week road trip (if I get there)

Although we had sat-nav in the car whilst on holiday in Florida, we found this map to be invaluable. It's very big, so folding it up to get it down to the area you want can be a little difficult, but the detail is excellent and really helped to put our minds at ease when we were a little unsure about whether we were going in the right direction. We also used it to mark up particular places of interest, which was great for working out travelling times etc. Highly recommended if you're taking a trip to Florida any time soon and want a reference tool that's not sat-nav!

I bought this map to plan a road trip. I knew when I bought it that it was printed on two sides but my job was made difficult because the two sides don't line up. You can't just flip over and follow a road up. Also, the seams started to split within days. It's now in four pieces, two where I tore it in half to line the back and the front up and two more where it fell apart. The detail on the map, though, is very good, showing the parks and campgrounds. I have bought a different one for the trip itself though so we don't end up with little pieces of map everywhere.

Bought for a road trp to Florida, where it proved to be invaluable. It shows the "little" roads that the maps the hire care company don't show, thus making it easier to plan a route. We used it so much that it eventually started to show a few signs of wear and tear, but there's enough life in it for next time. I'd certainly say buy this before you go (as we did) as finding a map in the supermarkets was impossible (I checked) and you'd need a bigger town to have an actual bookshop which sold maps.
