This is much more than just a Microwave
This Panasonic microwave oven has many interesting built in features. The touch panel control buttons can be used even if your fingers are a bit sticky from handling baking ingredients. This touch panel also cleans with just a quick wipe of the panel with a kitchen cloth. As there is no turntable inside the microwave the shape of a dish does not matter and the food is heated consistently even though the dish is not rotated. In the model I purchased there is a steam cooking function. It is useful. All in All a professional quality microwave for any kitchen.

Fantastic kitchen appliance!
I had a Phillips 'flat bed' microwave in the 80'S and was devastated when it finally stopped working. I couldnt find a 'flat bed' replacement and ended up with a 'turntable' one which could not accommodate my oblong dishes. When that one eventually broke down I did a lot of research and found this flat bed combination microwave! Yes, it was expensive but you get what you pay for. Very smart - black and stainless steel, fits well on worktop under wall cupboards, very quiet and stable when working. I read some negative reviews stating - time difficult to read from the right hand side, fan kept working long after cooking had stopped, very complicated to use, interior lights too dull, etc. Was not bothered by these comments - I just move my head slightly to read time, after use I leave the door open for machine to cool down quickly, I find it easy enough to quickly open the door to check on food and quickly became familiar with the controls - if I am not sure I consult the booklet which is easy to understand. This machine was invaluable at Christmas, it cooked sausages, bacon rolls and superb roast potatoes at the same time when the turkey took over my oven. One last comment - it makes amazing baked potatoes!!

Irksome cooling fan
Looks good. More features than our old Brother combination oven. Only used the microwave and convection oven (which cooked my bread to perfection) so far.The preheat feature for the convection oven was very, in fact quite unbelievably, quick. The only downside that I can come up with (at the time of writing this review) is that the cooling fan ran for 40 minutes after the convection oven was used and that, in this instance, was longer than the cook time for the bread I made. I am assuming there is not a fault and that the long cooling time is a 'feature'.Only gave it four stars because of the long cooling period - though it isn't too noisy it is irksome to have the fan running for such a long time after cooking has finished.

The Best!
After years of using microwave then combi ovens this one is far and away the best one yet.The combination cooking is great and easy to set up. The microwave function also works welland easy to use. Using the in the conventional mode is just brilliant cooks roast perfectly. It is a bit pricey but it's worth every penny. The build quality is excellent, easy to clean and set up.Highly delighted with my purchase cannot fault it in any way. Pleased to recommend this excellentproduct.

From a Simply brilliant down to a DO NOT PURCHASE.
If you are looking for a worktop cooker that does everything really well, don't waste your time looking anywhere else. This is simply brilliant. I have had this model for almost a year now and it doesn't disappoint in any area.I am reviewing this oven after about 18 months use, whilst cooking jacket potatoes the unit started to make a noise and it stopped working, the display gave a fault code which apparently means serious failure. I contacted a repair company who sent out an engineer. He knew his way round the cooker and tested everything. It needs a new magnetron and a new inverter unit! The waiting time for these items is anything from 4 to 12 weeks! It seems there is a demand. The upshot is total repair cost in excess of £200.0My advice is stay away from Panasonic micro wave ovens.

Ok, let down by design
I thought I would use this for a few weeks before writing a review. Not having a turntable was a major selling point. However, it does have its downside. On microwave it works fine, the extra space inside is great. When using as an oven I found food at the back cooked quicker than the front. I cooked some rolls and the back ones burnt whilst the front cooked ok. This is the same for the grill. However, once you realise that it just means you have to move food around during cooking. My previous microwave of the same make had a turntable that meant the food automatically got moved so cooked more evenly. For some reason the light inside is very dim, only 2 silly little lights that fail to give enough light to see food cooking inside. Draw the blinds and turn your light off and you can see inside...just. Also, buttons have been replaced by a stupid slider to set cooking time. It's very annoying to use, if you don't have a perfectly steady hand as my elderly mum doesn't then you will soon get fed up with it. I was going to give only 2 stars but added an extra one because as a microwave it works fine.
